| "Stars On Strings Shows" is the outreach branch of the Puppetry Arts Center of New Orleans. Many Productions are designed to highlight the unique culture and history that gives New Orleans its special flavor. |
| Performances by master puppeteers are in a fast paced musical variety style, with large short strung Marionettes.
The puppeteers work in full view of the audience, Cabaret Style, and consider the Marionettes to be instruments, like the violin or cello. By pulling on the strings the puppets move, providing a visualization to the rhythm of the music and thus drawing a corresponding emotion from the viewer, |
| "Hands On" participation is an integral part of the program. Children are also invited to join with the puppeteers to work special puppets. |
