The webmaster is well familiar with this little bird, a Peachface lovebird, having kept them for many years. His favourite is however the Black Masked lovebird, which despite its name is most colourful with brilliant yellow and green plumage, black head and white eye. Lovebirds come from Africa and there are many subspecies, some of them extremely rare in the wild and in captivity.
