JUST GREAT LAKE APPLETS
Peter Searle's collection of quality images displayed using David Griffiths' Lake Applet and
designed to be displayed with a computer screen setting of 1024 x 768.

Today, as I understand it, the content of this site can only be viewed if you use Netscape Navigator. Because the site uses Java. Those who use Internet Explorer therefore cannot see this site correctly, I am sorry to say.

If you are using Netscape Navigator, it really IS worth changing your computer settings to best view the site at a 1024 x 768 screen setting. I also invite you to visit my sister site 'The Lake Applet Gallery', a gallery of the finest WWW usage of the Lake Applet as at December 31st 1999. A greater proportion of the images on that site are properly viewable at an 800 x 600 screen setting. And are probably better available for those with slower internet connections. I chose the 1024 x 768 setting to better show the amazing versatility of David Griffiths' fine applet.

Your screen resolution right now is: Instructions to change your screen size are here.

Just a sample!

You just HAVE to see the above recent image additions to the site. Click on the above thumbnails.

Visitors may freely copy any lake applet coding on this "not for profit" site. But, respecting the images, I would ask that, where known, the consent of the applicable photographer be obtained prior to use elsewhere.

As this is written, on January 23, 2002, I cannot provide a quality working guestbook facility. The cgi script provided by the ISP does not work, (for me at least). In their cgi, there is no facility to make any sensible comment or to identify the sender's e-mail address or website if the sender wishes to leave that data. Messages intended for the guestbook are not placed on the guestbook but are rather (when I tested it) e-mailed to me. I must await Rogers Cable resolving the issue. 'Tis still true on March 8th 2002. And still true on April 30th 2002. In the meantime, I would welcome your words by e-mail for inclusion on the guestbook in due course. You can view the old guestbook here. Sorry about that!
