หลักสูตรประสาทศัลยศาสตร์

- หน่วยประสาทศัลยศาสตร์ โรงพยาบาลภูมิพลอดุลยเดช รับฝึกแพทย์ประจำบ้านสาขา ประสาทศัลยศาสตร์ ปีละ 2 คน

- โดย ในปีที่ 1 ฝึกอบรมศัลยศาสตร์ทั่วไปที่ กองศัลยกรรม โรงพยาบาลภูมิพลอดุลยเดช ในปีที่ 2 และ 3 ฝึกอบรมประสาทศัลยศาสตร์

ภาคทฤษฎี

- แพทย์ประจำบ้านสาขาประสาทศัลยศาสตร์ ที่ผ่านการฝึกอบรมแล้ว จะมีความรู้เป็นอย่างดี ในสาขาประสาทศัลยศาสตร์ ดังต่อไปนี้

1. Localizing diagnosis in neurological disease

2. Principle of neurologic investigation

3. Principle of pre-operative and post-operative care in neurosurgical patients

4. Principle of intensive care of critical patients

5. Pathophysiology and management of increases intracranial pressure.

6. Pathophysiology and management of cord compression

7. Congenital malformation of CNS

8. Head injury

9. Spinal and peripheral nerve injury

10 CNS.

11 Cerebrovascular diseases

12 Intervertebral disc disease and spondylosis

13 Intracranial and intraspinal infection

14 Pain and management

ภาคปฏิบัติ

ในที่นี้หมายถึง ทักษะการผ่าตัด แพทย์ประจำบ้านสาขาประสาทศัลยศาสตร์ ที่จบการฝึก

อบรมแล้ว จักต้องมีประสบการณ์ที่ทำด้วยตนเองและภายหลังจากผ่านการฝึกอบรมแล้ว สามารถทำต่อไปได้

สำหรับแพทย์ประจำบ้านสาขาประสาทศัลยศาสตร์ ปีที่ 2

Head trauma - Compound depressed skull fracture

- Epidural hematoma

- ICP - monitoring

Spinal trauma - Application cervical traction, Halo fixation ช่วยทำผ่าตัด

spinal injury

Peripheral nerve - Neuroraphy

Congenital malformation - Hydrocephalus, V-A, V-P shunt

Infection - Drainage brain abscess

Tumor - Open and closure craniotomy and laminectomy wound

Degenerative diseases - Lumbar dissectomy

Vascular - Removal ICH

สำหรับแพทย์ประจำบ้านประสาทศัลยศาสตร์ ปีที่ 3

1. ทำผ่าตัดรักษาและควบคุมแพทย์ประจำบ้านปีที่ 2 ในการทำผ่าตัด และทำหน้าที่หัวหน้าแพทย์ประจำบ้าน (ในกรณีที่มี 3 ปี)

2. สำหรับปีที่ 3

Head trauma - Traumatic ICH

Spinal trauma - Decompression and fusion ทั้ง cervical thoracic and lumbar

Spine

Congenital malformation - Repair frontal meningocoel, T-L meningomyelocoel

Infection - Excision abscess

Tumor - Metastatic brain and spinal tumor

- Primary brain tumor (Supra and infratentorial)

Degenerative diseases - Cervical dissectomy and fusion

- Laminectomy in lumbar stenosis

- Spondylolithesis

Vascular surgery - ช่วยผ่าตัด aneurysm and AVM.

นอกจากนี้อาจจะยังได้มีประสบการณ์ในการผ่าตัดที่ค่อนข้างยาก

- Microvascular anastomosis

- Microvascular decompression

- Pain therapy

- Stereotactic surgery
