I am a high school math teacher at Kennedy High School in Waterbury, Connecticut.  I graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2004 with a BA in Mathematics and certification in Secondary Education.  I am currently taking classes at ECSU towards my Masters in Secondary Education.

My favorite hobby is softball.  I have played softball since I was 8 years old.  As an undergraduate I played centerfield for ECSU.  Now, I am currently the varsity softball coach at Kennedy High.  I am also the head coach of
Xplosion Softball 14U travel team in Trumbull, CT.

Over the summer, I try to do some  fundraising for ALS with my grandfather by riding bicycles for different events.  This past summer we rode for the
Tri-State Trek.  In 2006 I wrote 1000 miles, from North Dakota to the Pacific in Oregon, and helped raise over $25,000!

When I worked at Weaver High School in 2004-2007, I also volunteer to help with the Human Relations Club.  This is a club made up of students who want to help in their community.  Some of the activities we particiapte in are volunteering at South Park in Food Shelter in Hartford, visiting Connecticut's Children's Home, singing christmas carols at nursing homes during the holidays, and helping run Weaver's annual Red Cross Blood Drive.  Sometimes we get together just to have a good time.  Below is a picture of us hiking at Heublein Tower:
