Hello, my name is Janet and I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). I was first diagnosed in March 2000. It was at this time that I also discovered that I had type II diabetes. My diabetes developed as the result of not being diagnosed as insulin resistant (IR) throughout my twenties. For a detailed report on how this whole diagnosis came about please visit my personal PCOS story.
I have started this web page dedicating it to PCOS, Diabetes Type II, Infertility, and Miscarriages based on my own experiences. I also intend to supply important information to help others who may be struggling with the same issues.
The information gathered here is acquired through my own research and is meant to inform, not to diagnose. If you think you may have the same symptoms as described in the research reports then I highly recommend that you seek the advice of a qualified physician--preferably a Endocrinologist or Reproductive Endocrinoligist.
I have become a staunch advocate for PCOS since I was first diagnosed because it is a syndrome that is often overlooked and misunderstood among the medical community. If you think PCOS is just an infertility problem then think again and read on...
I will be adding research articles as I come across them as well as expanding on my own personal journey so please be sure to check back frequently!
Thank you for visiting my website. Don't forget to sign the guestbook!
The views in some of the research articles are not necessarily shared by me.
