LESSON PLANS for teaching JUDAISM |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
LEVEL: Secondary OBJECTIVE: To familiarize students with the basics of Jewish belief and practice METHOD: Each class begins with a solicitaiton of student ideas on the topic, and then goes into the lesson for the day. The lessons are organized as handouts, and teachers may either distribute them to the class to be read aloud together, or use the handouts as lecture material. Each class ends with some activity which will enable students to review and process what they have learned that day. After each lesson, there is also a worksheet which may be used as a review quiz or a homework assignment. TIME FRAME: If all options are to be used, allow for two weeks of class time. |
