JUNE 2002 |
Edinburgh Airport:
Friends Stunt Treble Ted and Polar Pete are
travelling Cabin-Baggage Class (which turned out
less cramped than package tour economy class).
Arrived in time for sunset at Mambo.
I'M BACK!
Sunset from Mambo.
Later: Manumission (no cameras - phew).
But I was there...
After Manumission,
I'm up (just) in time for beer and sunset at Coastline.
A beer and a cigarette ...
... as the sun goes down ...
... and the DJ plays ...
... while the sun sets.
Coastline Restaurant: MY wine!
Coastline Restaurant: thank your for MY brandies!
Soft soap won't work:
the brandies are mine!
Traditional visit to Joe Spoon's in the West End.
(You can't get good Paparazzi these days!)
I pull!
I pull again!
Mushroom? I thought I'd pulled.
My favourite drink, at Cafe Paradis
(the Es Paradis version of Garden of Eden).
5a.m. and I'm on the decks in Cafe Paradis.
After a lie down and some sedation,
the maid is now recovering.
Well, it was very hot outside.
Polar Pete, Stunt Treble and I recover.
Zzzz!
Tapas a Rey del Copas
Now I understand:
that's why Stunt Treble said he'd stay in the room.
Shades, Beach Towel, Transport:
I'm off to Cala des Moro (beach).
Catching rays.
Do bears tan?
Do bears burn!?
I hope not.
Back to Coastline for the sunset.
Paparazzi.
Dinner at Kasbah - excellent meal.
I understand why the other Judge (Jules) eats here.
Stunt Treble tries a Bay Run.
Why is my bottom all wet?
Brandy at Cafe del Mar,
before going to the opening night of Inox.
Inox:
The adverts say "Drink Bud".
OK, pour.
Privelidge owns Inox.
Privelidge has its own brand of Red Bull.
Privelidge Bull on the Inox sofa.
The sun sets over San Antonio harbour.
Dave Pearce's Euphoria at Eden.
5a.m.: preparing for the foam.
I'm not sure about this.
Burble! Squelch!
Recognised. Next time I'll wear the tinted goggles.
Bay Run: I made it to the harbour buoy.
Sunrise over Eden and Es Paradis.
What do you two mean, "Was it worth it?"
Of course it was.
Two new friends on my way to Coastline.
Of course I'm real!
Sea Breeze for sunset at Coastline.
I'm not drinking,
but somehow the level in my glass goes down.
Some fizz at Coastline restaurant. Drink up.
Ah! Ice bucket.
A last drink in the appartment.
Cinnamon marinade for my packed lunch.
Vodka and Red Bull for us.
It's time to go home. It's 08.05hr!
