Warwickshire - My Home County

Stratford-upon-Avon is probably still my favourite part of Warwickshire, but my home county is full of amazing places. Within an hour I am lucky enough to be able to get to some of England's finest countryside, some wonderful towns and villages, and some spectacular castles and houses. This page has  just a few of these marvellous places. I think that you can gather from the way that I write about this area that I love it.

If you have sound on your computer then the music that you hear is a Medieval dance called Salterro. I chose it to reflex the many Medieval buildings shown on this page.

This view, from the hills at Loxley, near Stratford, shows off
what Warwickshire is all about. A gentle place of rounded
hills and woodlands, meadows and rivers. It is no wonder that
Tolkien used it as the model for Middle Earth. It was near here
also that Teletubby land was created

The rest of the page takes you on a tour of some of my favourite places in the county.
