Review: The Cranberries
By Laura DeFelice

Sometimes it is a special occasion that brings you to a show. Sometimes it's an invite or an absolute crave to see your favorite band live, well this night was just that and so much more. Brilliance is why The Cranberries are still around today after 12 years and counting in America and over excelerating across the seas across the years.
Flashing lights and flashy atire made for a magical night to start. The Greek Theater in Los Angeles is a beautiful place to experience the passion and expression a live performance portrays. The lush landscpae and greenery under the twilight; what more could you ask for? Well one more thing, the voice of honest admiration for words that bear truth in mind. The power is overwhelming and the attention to detail from the guitar strings to the pounding drums to the voice of divine percision is astonishing. The Cranberries are non-stop perfection. Executing grand theories of relationships throughout life represented as real emotion and triumph with passion.
Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist/Pianist D'lores Riordan treated the audience so proper and so eloquent it was only appropriate for her to accept the love given back. Not a quiet moment in the air as the crowd cheered and cried for more. Not two, not three but five songs during the incredible encore full of energy from the band and from the crowd. It's simple, fans serge towards them in a fundamental way because The Cranberries move their fans. Of course how could it be a perfect Cranberries show without Linger, Dreams, Salvation, Free to Decide, Animal Instinct (animating the life of her own young) and 19 more to capture the essence of who The Cranberries really are and how talented they are allowed to be.
