Some are still with us.  Some are gone.

Glenn Robey "the 8 ball", not only still with us, he's still racin'!! Going on 72, I believe he is the oldest active racer in Nebraska, with the longest racing career.

 

Don Ronk, raced the coupes and Bronco class at Playland.

 

 

The Flying Dutchman

Frank  Vandoorn, still around and restoring Studebakers.

.

 

  Bobby Matson, a life long racer, still builds and owns  racecars to this day.

 

Lynn Grabill, still around the Nebraska area.  

Lynn  drove his last race three years ago (at age 60) in a modified midget, he is still active in racing.  Lynn and his wife own a 360 sprint car.  Theye race it in Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri.  Son Kerry drives it  which makes him the third generation of the family to drive a race car.  Lynn's dad became the first when he raced at the Shelby County Fairgrounds 1/2 mile when he was a teenager back in the 30s.

 

Howard Koziol, still racing, drives a limited late model. Howard raced at Playland in it's final years.

 

1968.jpg (20849 bytes) Darrell Taylor,mostly drove a mini stock at Playland.  Lives near Colorado Springs  today. He has a beautiful sedan now.

Dave Hellerich, living in Conrad Arkansas these days.

 

 

Larry Osborn, raced the Bronco class at Playland.

 

 

Ron Hoden, raced the coupes and Bronco as well as Super class at Playland.
