The house is built on a 32" raised concrete slab. Unusual for our area because most houses are built on crawl space. Another oddity is the house being raised, giving the appearance there is a crawl space. Houses built on slabs are nornally a few inches above ground level. All concrete used is 4500 psi with fibre. Notice the rebar in the footings, as per building code. Click on the picture for a larger view.
