If you are home schooling in Virginia or considering home schooling, make sure you know the law. A beginner's packet is available by e-mailing PFS or visiting your local library in Hampton, Newport News, or Yorktown. The librarian should be able to help you find it. The packet contains a synopsis of the law followed by actual copies of the state codes and where to find more information as well as contact persons in each city to help you with that city's particular interpretations of the codes. It's not as hard to get started as it sounds. There are lots of veteran home schoolers willing to help.
