Welcome to our home page!

Welcome to the official webpage of Perkiomen Township Fire Company. We are located in Graterford, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The mission of the fire company is to control and manage fire equipment for extinguishing fire and the preservation of life and property from destruction by fire in Perkiomen Township and the vicinity. The fire personnel respond to approximately two hundred emergency calls each year. The majority of these calls are vehicle accidents and fire alarms. Other emergency calls include structure fires, field fires and carbon monoxide detector activations.

Perkiomen Township Fire Company was incorporated in 1951 proceeding the discussion of residents in the latter part of 1950. The property that the fire company is presently located on was purchased in 1952. The first apparatus that was purchased by the fire company was a 1934 Ford, which was previously owned by Pioneer Fire Company in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Following this purchase, several other preowned apparatus were bought. It was not until 1969 that that the first new piece of equipment was acquired, an American LaFrance Pioneer Pumper. Presently the fire company owns a 1998 HME/4 Guys Pumper-Tanker, 1993 American LaFrance Pumper and a 1995 Quality Pumper. The present building was built in 1955. Renovations and the addition of a five bay engine room was completed in 1997.
