Welcome to Happy Acres
October 27, 2001

Well, in the spirit of patriotism, I tried to like George W. Bush.  Or at least keep quiet about how BAD I believe he is for our country.

Can't do it anymore.

I won't get
too political on you.  I'll just post a few links, and you can check them out if you're interested in the source of my discontent.  I'm worried; I'm depressed; okay, I'm scared.  We had a chance for real, positive change for our country here, and I'm afraid we've blown it, giving Baby Bush and his handlers free reign with our country and our freedoms...

"...The State Department has theorized that if the people of a rogue nation experience enough suffering, they will overthrow their rulers, or compel them to adopt more sensible behavior.

The terrorist actions in New York and Washington are a clear and ironic implementation of this strategy against the United States..."

I've been going to Michael Moore's site a lot.  I think he said it best on Sept. 15, 2001:

"...I feel I have a responsibility as one of those Americans who doesn't feel good right now to speak out and say what needs to be said:  That we, the United States of America, are culpable in committing so many acts of terror and bloodshed that we had better get a clue about the culture of violence in which we have been active participants.  I know it's a hard thing to hear right now, but if I and others don't say it, I fear we will soon be in a war that will do NOTHING to protect us from the next terrorist attack."
