GENERAL INFORMATION

People's Democratic Party [PDP] is the Nigerian ruling party that wrestled power from the  Federal Military Government of Nigeria under the able and distinguished leadership of His Excellency, President (retired General) Olusegun Obasanjo. In view of this development, Nigeria that was hitherto isolated and ostracized by the international community during the most repressive and   dictatorial regime of the late general Sani Abacha , a democratically elected government came into office on May 29, 1999 and  ever since then, the rule of law has returned to the peace loving nation of Nigeria.

Following the very impressive work that has been done by the government of Nigeria, cultural preservability, infrastructural rehabilitation, political stability, democratic revivability, , economic viability and prosperity are gradually being returned to the most populous Black nation in the world (West Africa). As a result of these achievements, we: the people of Nigeria resident in the United States have resolved to inaugurate and incorporate the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria in the 50 states of the United States of America as chapters with a national secretariat to be based in a state yet undecided.

Updated Information about PDP Nigeria

On November 11, 2001 at a PDP national convention in Abuja -Nigeria, a new national executive body of the People's Democratic Party was elected into office for four (4) years. This November 2001 convention ultimately culminated in the election of Chief, Prof. Audu Ogbeh (Benue State) - a one-time Minister of Communication (Oct. 1, 1979 - Dec. 31, 1983) in the Shagari administration. We all know what happened during the Shagari administration. That very Shagari administration was a corrupt one; at least, as much as the administration of General Buhari's that toppled the Shagari's rule and the records of the  Military Tribunal that convicted all the state officials, especially the state governors, except Alhaji Jakande of Lagos state. Others that were convicted were all federal officials of that administration, except chief, Prof. Audu Ogbeh would show. Even president Shagari himself has qualified Prof. Audu Ogbeh as the ONLY INCORRUPTIBLE minister during his administration. This is a new era in the PDP when we have a crop of young leaders with vision, purpose, direction, and above all else, leaders that are de-tribalized, they are people of unqualified  transparent honesty and absolute integrity. Long live Chief, Prof. Audu Innocent Ogbeh, Long Live Peoples Democratic Party, Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Long Live the United States of America.
