This film initially disapointed me. There is no detection of the Hydrogen alpha wavelength (near Infra Red, 650nm) by this film. Images of emission nebula like M8 look blue/green in colour. The detection of Hydrogen alpha was something that I am looking for in a film to make nice red blobs of nebula.
However my eyes can't easily detect H alpha, I have never seen an emission nebula appear red while using a telescope. Nebula appear to me as bright white patches in the sky, the Hydrogen Alpha wavelength dosen't trigger the red cones in my eyes. So I think that the colour in the images taken with this film are quite close to what can be seen in real life.
This film does have good contrast and dark nebula like the coal sack and pipe nebula stand out well. The colours of the stars is portrayed well and regions of the milky way have a nice tint.
