In Loving Memory of
Patricia "Patti" Margaret Lakernick
October 15, 1988 - May 24, 2002

I just want the world to see and know about my Patti so no one will ever forget her...

This is a photo of Patti when she was 13 years old. She has on these two huge angel wings. The picture is my angel. She made that for me. She was so excited about it. She gave this to me and said "LOOK MOM WHAT I DID FOR YOU! I made this Picture for you!" And I said, "Oh you're such a good girl, wow Patti, that is so nice," or something like that... Her sister Jamie had gotten these crazy angel wings at the Renenezon Fair where they dress up back in the olden years like in the older long dress etc... this one particular picture did have some special meaning to Patti and I. Although at first when she made it for me, I was like why did she do this? But I never questioned Patti, there was always a reason. I might not have understood it right there, but as for this one, now I do, and I really do treasure this photo...I had gotten a marker on the front of it and it was so hard to get off but finally I did, or maybe I found another picture like it. I now have one of them in my room in a 2x3 or 3x5 photo frame, it's purple
and some pretty girly things on it, and on top of the frame it says
"Angel, how perfect can you get for this picture." Just thought I would share with you...

Patti at 3 days old with her Mommy

Daddy with Patti at 4 days old.

My little Patricia Margaret Lakernick, which she was named after two special people. Patrica is for my mom who was very close to Patti when she was younger. They loved each other very much. The middle name is from a lady I grew up with her name is Margaret, funny lady, and I looked to her as a grandma since mine were all gone to the otherside already. She truly was a funny lady and told you like it was. We became close, and I could tell her things that I didn't tell mom, and I knew she never told on me. Its funny how we pick the names for our kids.
I knew this was going to be my first child's name for so long,
since I was in my early teens...

Patti at 5 years old, in the Cornell Pre-K, being silly...

Patti loved purple and pink, also fuschia was one of her favorite colors, also yellow.
She loved dolphins and wanted to be a teacher when she grew up, like her dad...

Patti at age 6 in November of 1994, at Mom-Mom's house with her little friend Pammie (age 5) and her sister Jamie (age 4-1/2). Pammie was my Mom's neighbor for years and the 3 girls were best friends for years.

This is from September 1997, Patti is 8 years old here, Jamie is 7.

Patti is 10 years old here, in October 1998, in our house in Limerick, PA.

These is a beautiful and loving gift for Angel Patti from my dear friend, Carol, mom to Angel Michael.

My Patti won't get to experience the joy of earning her first "real" paycheck, but come to think of it, she did in a way... she got a paycheck, and all the kids were allowed to work at my old job, and they were paid
not much an hour, but it was actually the girls' first paycheck.
Each of them got almost $70.00 each at the age of 10, not bad

This photo was taken at Longwood Gardens. Patti is 10 years old, and Jamie is 9 years old.

Here is Patti being funny at her 6th grade concert, she is 11 years old here.

Patti was one of a kind, she loved everyone and loved to help you out. I guess she was a lot like me, always tring to help someone out. I do that often and give them anything that they need as long as we have it. She was a very kind little girl, giving, caring, and most of all Patti was my "mom." She was the mature one, the boss, told us what to do, and she was above all very funny and loving, everyone loved her...

This is from Christmas Eve 1999. Patti is 11 and Jamie is 10.

This picture was taken in October 2001, Patti had just turned 13.

One day the girls were all trying to get jobs... both of my girls are certified baby sitters, and they all tried to make flyers up. Well, Jamie her sister and her friend all spelled words wrong so they didn't get a call, but Patti got a call. Her flyer was great. I have this still, how I don't know. We don't have much, but I do have several things.
Also, Patti had a job in the summer being a mom's helper, and she was so excited.
She also had her first interview, she was so happy, she was only 13 yrs old...

These two pictures above are from Christmas Day 2001, Patti is 13 years old
and Jamie is 8 days away from being 12 years old.

Oh, Patti's nickname that I had just started to call her was Princess Angel. She wanted to know who that was, and I said "oh, that is you!" She thought she was so special because her friends were called only one of them names,
but she was called both of them. I told her, you are so special,
you're my Princess Angel, and always will be sweet pea and so many other nicknames...

Patti is 13 years old here. We always told our girls, don't go in the water. You can see where Patti's foot is.....
I just laughed, and then we both laughed. Such a cutie pie...

Patti at 13 years old on Mother's Day, May 12, 2002.

Patti would stay after school and help one of her teachers... she loved her, they had a specal relationship. She stayed after school that Thursday night. She was so happy, she told me about it, and I still see her standing there with a special glow about her that night. I was so taken back how pretty she looked that night. She was pretty anyhow
but that night she was glowing. Now I know why Patti's teacher also said the same thing,
that Patti was in a good mood and she was glowing with happiness...

This is one of my favorite photos of Patti, she is 13 years old here.
She is in front of our apartments in Spring Mountain, PA.

Patti is almost 8 here, she is at Merry Maid farms in 1996 I think...
We love this photo of Patti, it is Jamie's screensaver.

Saying Goodbye
Dedicated to Patricia Lakernick

As we look back,
Those good times and bad,
We will always remember;
The fun times we had.

Sometimes happy,
And some in fear.
Some in heartbreak,
And some in tear.

This brings us pain,
Knowing you will not be back again.
You will still be with us;
Though in a different form.

You are an angel now,
Peaceful, gentle, and warm.
Now you are safe.

In our tears of sorrow and pain,
Knowing you will not be back again.
We will miss you, Patti,
Forever and ever.

Goodbye.

Patti's place of rest, we call it "Patti's House."

Patti's House, the week after Easter in 2004.

We have this song playing on here, "Holes in the Floor of Heaven,"
because it is one of Patti's all-time favorite songs!

Dear Mel
A very energetic little girl, who grew into a lovely young lady,
leaving this world too soon.
She for sure won't be forgotton.
Mel my ANGEL Lee wrote many poems, this one is very special to me
and I would love to share it with you.
MUCH LOVE
Sue-Anne/LEE

CORE

Softness of the skin
Sweetness in the smell
Nectar of the fruit
Tender in the heart
Dancing in the eyes
Uplifting in the smile
Tickle of the touch
Joining in the love

Truth in the speech
Love in the laughter
Primal in the scream
Soft in the whisper
Quick in the mind
Fair in the sentence
Brave in the confrontation
Joining in the love

Graceful in the sleep
Careful in the search
Deep in the sorrow
Strength in the sickness
Giving of thy self
Rich in the health
Kind in the giving
Joining in the love

SAY MY CHILDS NAME

The mention of my child's name
may bring tears to my eyes,
But it never fails to bring music to my ears.
If you are my friend,
let me hear the music of her name!
It soothes my broken heart and sings to my soul!

Dear Patti's Mom
I would like to give you these special gifts I made for this very
beautiful and charming little angel Patti. She just stole my heart.
A lovely and delightful young girl with so much personality.
I'm so sorry that she had to leave so soon, but I know
she went to a very good place and is safe with God in his Kingdom in Heaven.
May you forever be held in God's loving arms and find his peace.
With Love
Ann, Laurasmom
