Bustamante was the first town in the northern region of Nuevo León, founded in 1686. The entrance to this town is surrounded by leafy walnut trees. Visitors arriving to the town can also admire the beautiful mountain landscape, where the Bustamante Canyon receives most of the attention.From the entrance you can see the different bakeries, where the famous Bustamante bread is baked, sometimes in the original adobe ovens; the traditional semitas, polkas and empanadas are some of the examples of the exquisite sweet bread that can be found in this town, besides trying out the different milk and peanut candies. Regarding traditional dishes, the cabrito stands out among the rest, cooked with the original Hotel Ancira recipe.
