April 23, 2001

Pam Munroe, the candidate for the Comox Valley in the May 16th provincial election has been named by Green Party Leader--Adrian Carr--as the Green Party Finance and Investment Policy Advocate. The Advocate Team includes 18 Green Party MLA candidates from ridings all over the province. They range in age from 27-year-old Rob LaBelle (Health & Wellness) to 72-year-old Betty Krawczyk (Justice; Seniors), represent diverse political backgrounds including Conservatives, Liberals, and NDP, and come from across the socio-economic spectrum.

In introducing the Advocate Team, Carr stated "I'm proud to present a team of candidates that has such enormous breadth of experience and personal dedication to finding solutions to the full range of issues of importance to British Columbians--a healthy economy, good government and improving our quality of life."

Munroe is looking forward to using her accounting background "...to ensure that British Columbians have the highest standards of government accountability, not only fiscally, but environmentally and socially as well--triple-bottom-line accounting."
