Sissy and Auntee Taffy's visit

Hi Mommy

I had fun with Auntie Taffy in Michigan. I got there on Tuesday afternoon but was tuckered out so took a nap. Then we went to Aunt Taffy's son's house for dinner -

we had baby back ribs, which were yummy, mashed potatoes and a salad. Andrew, who is 6 liked me! Alex, who just turned 11,

shared his ribs with me. My goodness they were soooo good. Carol, Aunt Taffy's daugher-in-law owns a yarn shop in their home

and she let me pick out some yarn for a sweater and hat. Carol made it for me and I just love it. It was chilly here, so I'm glad she made it for me! David and Carol have two really big dogs, two cats and a goldfish! Bingo, their black and white dog let me throw her blue rubber

ring so he could catch it. I had fun playing with Bingo,

he got so excited when we came to vist. Annie, a shepard mix dog is Bingo's mommy and she posed with me, but

her eyes look funny in the picture. Too bad you can't see Dave's face, he's pretty good looking! C.C., their calico cat didn't want anything to do with me, she's kind of nasty anyway. Jazz, who is C.C.'s brother loved me.

He nudged up against me a lot, he is so lovable. On Wednesday, Aunt Taffy had to see a dental specialist in Kalamazoo. It took us a long time to get there, and Aunt Taffy even got lost! But she finally made it, just a couple minutes late and the dentist wasn't upset because his office was so far away from where she lived. After Aunt Taffy was done with her visit, the next thing I knew someone put me in the chair and Dr. Humphries

started checking my teeth! Oh My! They put this little bib on me too,

in case I drooled, which I didn't, I didn't want to embarrass myself. He said I was in good shape! On Thursday Aunt Taffy had no electricity in the morning so she had to light some candles because it was so dark in the house. Then it rained so hard that it scared her cat, Billie. Billie doesn't like thunder and she cries, and I tried to make her feel better, but she hid under the bed! I never saw it rain so hard before in my life - it poured! But the electricity finally came on and Aunt Taffy and I did some chores and wrapped Alex's birthday gifts. We went to Dave and Carol's for chocolate cake and strawberry ice cream. Carol even let me use her special tea set that was just my size.

I was so impressed. I even put on my pretty dress to wear at the party. Carol showed me the sweater

she was making me. She didn't have it finished, but I got it later.

We had a party with Taffy's "boys", Ernie & Elmo and some of their friends on Friday. Elmo let me ride

on his tricycle with him, that was fun. Then he made me pull him in the wagon - he was so much bigger than me that I couldn't pull him very far.

I thought that was mean of him to make me do all the work. I got to sit on the couch and Ernie, with his

Amish hat, sat next to me and put his arm around me. Whoa! I had to put him in his place. Rock N Roll Ernie was more fun, he sure can sing!

I could have gotten up and danced when he played his guitar. Then I think rastafarian

(not sure how you spell that word) Ernie showed up - he has dread-locks! I think he belongs in a gang because he was wearing a baseball cap too. He just kept staring at me and his mouth was open the whole time, and that kind of scared me. But, he was actually pretty nice after we talked. Elmo let me sit with him at the afternoon tea! Rubber Ducky Ernie was there and he sings too and the ducky goes quack, quack, quack! Aunt Taffy got out her special tea set for us.

I felt like a queen! Good china, just for me! Later that night, Aunt Taffy's daughter, Laura and her husband came to visit. I think they came just because I was there!!! I felt so honored.

Laura and Aunt Taffy posed for a picture with me. Wasn't that sweet. Did you know that Laura has a twin sister that looks a lot like her. I didn't get the chance to meet her sister, Lisa tho. Lisa is getting married pretty soon and Aunt Taffy has a lot of work to do before the wedding! I think Aunt Taffy spends too much time at the computer, but don't tell her I said that! Saturday was a day I'll never forget. I got to ride in a truck in the big parade they have every year at this time. Sturgis is the official "Kick-off city" which means that it starts the summer festivals and parades for the whole state! A friend of Aunt Taffy's works at the newspaper and wrote an article

about me and all my travels, but it hasn't been in the paper yet! I was hoping it would have been in the Tuesday edition so Aunt Taffy could send it to you. I got to ride in a truck that a man named Ron drove.

He owns Hungry Howie's and a TCBY here in town so you know I had treats from him too! Ron was pretty nice! He used to be good friends with Aunt Taffy's husband, so Aunt Taffy has known him for many years. He was more than happy to let me accompany him in the parade. I got home about 5:30 that night. It was a long day again and I was tuckered out. Laura made a wonderful strawberry pie on Saturday and she even let me sit

with her and she shared it with me! I love strawberry pie with whipped cream. It was so good!!! Laura and Jeff left early Sunday and I was sad to see them go. They were a lot of fun to be with. Aunt Taffy had some yardwork to do, so after they left, she went out and pruned some bushes. She has a big yard so I wandered off and got lost! She found me in a

poppy plant of all things! Aren't they pretty flowers? The petals are as big as me! She rescued me and we went back in the house. I took a nap and had a strange dream that I went fishing! In my dream I caught a big fish, maybe a whale, but Aunt Taffy said it was a bass. I couldn't have dreamt it tho because she took a picture of me

with that big fish. Maybe I did catch it all by myself. They had so much rain here that I bet it just went swimming by one day! Before I packed my bags to get ready to go home, Aunt Taffy quickly sewed up a fancy coat for me

its even reversible. She took so long making it that I think she forgot how to sew. (don't tell her I said that!). It's a bright turquoise on one side and yellow on the other, I think she said I could use it as a rain coat because I'm going to visit Aunt Jill and her parents live in Michigan too. And I think its going to rain some more while I'm here! I wish I had brought an umbrella! I got to meet some of Aunt Taffy's other

little friends. We took a group nap. Aunt Taffy sure is into taking naps, isn't she??? But all her little friends were very nice to me. I almost talked the bear next to me into letting me have her bonnet, but she was afraid that Aunt Taffy would be mad, so I guess I'll just have to use the hat Carol

made me instead. I had a fun time with Aunt Taffy and her relatives and friends. I'm looking forward to seeing her at the retweet

in June! I didn't get to see any Amish people, except for Amish Ernie tho.

We didn't have time to go to the Amish community because I was in the parade on Saturday and they all stay home on Sunday. Maybe if I can come back I can
