Perhaps the most famous example of Andean Music is the 18th Century Peruvian folk melody El Condor Pasa by Daniel A. Robles.
This style of folk music with its roots in pre-Inca civilisation gives us an idea of how could the music sound 5,000 years ago. One can even imagine how did it sound when 120 musicians played panpipes simultaneously during the festivities of the Incas.

PACHAKUTI is a group of Andean musicians from Peru based in Munich. The musicians are willing to share sounds of their music to the people around the world. Find here linkes to some audio files with samples of their music.

Our web site first appeared in May 1996. As much as we know this is the first homepage of Andean folk musicians living and performing in Europe. Please tell us if you know more pages! Chilean group Inti-Illimani resided in Europe before 1988, but their web pages appeared probably in the end of 1996. We were already informed about the following web sites :
