Chapter 3, Who Am I?
Queen Serenity sits
at the head of a large banquet table. The young ten year old senshi and
Princess Serenity are also sitting at the table. The doors at the far end
of the hall open to reveal the fifteen year old boy that Jupiter had brought
in. He is now dressed in a smart white uniform with a white cape, he is
still wearing a sword though this one is ornamental with a gold hilt.
he enters he bows low to the queen and says "I know not how to repay your
kindness. After my home was destroyed I was left a wanderer of the streets.
You took me in and for this I can do nothing more than to pledge to you
my love, my loyalty, and my life."
The Queen seemed
both surprised and pleased with this. "You speak well, but I'm afraid we
still don't know who you are or where you’re from. "
"I beg your majesties
pardon. I am Sakata Kintoki, Prince of Light, First son of the King of
Light, and last son of a dead people from a destroyed world. But none of
that maters now he died with my home, I am now just Kintaro."
Makoto suddenly
sits up in bed "So that's who he is!" She looks over at the clock. "Oh
no I'm late for school." She hurriedly puts on her uniform grabs something
to eat and runs out the door.
Mako and Ami are
walking over to Rei's shrine after school. "Yippee! I can't wait to show
Mamo-Chan!" Usagi runs past the two girls and down the street.
"What got into
her?" Mako asked Ami.
"Didn't you know?
I didn't believe it myself at first."
"What?" Mako almost
shouted at Ami.
"Well Usagi got
a ‘ninety-five’ on her English test."
The Girls minus
Usagi are at the Hikari dojo. "You know, I knew she would have to grow
up eventually, I never told her this but I could always sense that it was
there deep inside her." Rei looked almost embarrassed as she admitted these
things. "I really think that's why I would always be on her case." She
stopped as Mako opened the door to the dojo.
Kioku was dressed
in white sitting cross legged in the center of the room, his eyes ware
closed and a drawn katana sword lay across his lap. "Hi... mmm..." Mako's
greeting was cut short as Rei cupped her hand over her mouth and dragged
her from the room.
"What was that
for?" an angry Makoto asked Rei.
"I just have a
feeling. He wasn't just thinking in there." Rei replied obviously worried.
"He is troubled, by what I don't know. It's almost..." Rei was cut short
by the opening door.
"Hi everybody!"
a cheerful Usagi steps into the room followed by Mamoru.
Nobody notices
Kioku entering from the training room. Kioku stops in his tracks as he
observes the scene in front of him. Usagi and Mamoru are standing in the
center arm in arm, while the other girls stand in pairs to their left and
right. "It is not possible!" The girls stare at him in shock, while Mamoru
seams to remember something. "The dreams, the dreams!" Kioku is almost
doubled over in pain. He stares Mako in the eyes and yells "Why are you
in my dreams, what are you trying to tell me." He than turns to Usagi "And
you princess, what is happening, WHO AM I!"
Kioku turns and
runs from the room. Usagi looks up at Mamoru, "He knows who we are." she
seams more puzzled than scared.
"No Usako." Mamoru
replies uncharacteristically tender. "He knows who we were."
-flashback-
The four generals Jedite, Nephrite, Zoicite, and Kunzite are standing in
the middle of a room. "He left for the moon again."
"Funny he didn't tell us."
"We went with him the 1st time, and I say that things went well."
"I think that these trips have more meaning than friendship between Earth
and the Moon."
"He did seem very interested in the princess."
"That guy with the cold silvery eyes never did take his hand off the hilt
of his sword."
At the moon palace Kintaro stands outside a door waiting. The door opens
and Endymion walks out of the room. He is carrying a red rose.
"And where did that come from?" Kintaro glares at Endymion.
Endymion turns and gives a ‘do I really have to tell’ look. Kintaro's face
lights up as he actually smiles. The two walk off together like life long
friends. "Roses, you know, you, or rather the Princess have given me an
idea." The two continue down the hall talking. The princess steps
out of the room glowing with happiness.
Back in the present a train stops and
a familiar figure gets off.
You’re in for a surprise next chapter. This is actually a set up for chapter 4, and The focus of the entire series will soon become evident.
