T5-R
How can i tell if i really have a T5-R? my car has no badges on it,
and i want to know if i really do have one. its a 94.....
Thanks
Jordan
The T-5R was only available in '95 and in yellow or black with a few
one-offs in white and green I think. It will have all the options and 17"
Titan 5 spoke wheels a rear wing and more aggressive 'chin' spoiler. You
could check the VIN if you aren't convinced either way...

If you had a T5-R it would say on the car. Or you could give your dealer
your VIN # and find out that way. You could aso get a copy of your new
car window sticker from Volvo NA....I think they cost $25USD

we have the same name. just thought i'd share. um , check your vin then do a carfax maybe that might do the trick
T5Rs weren't around until 1995. Dealer told me that they came in only bananna yellow and black. '96 850Rs came in only red and black.
T5-R's were built between mid 94 to mid 95. I have a yellow one and it was built late 94 (I have all log book history), first registered in Aust beginning of 95. The only colours I'm aware of are yellow and black (in Australia). The 850R's had the other assortment of other colours. You can see a pic of mine in the gallery parked outside the Sydney Olympic Stadium.
Hi Russkie-
Mine too was built in late '94. It is however a '95 model year which is what I was referring to. If you decoded the VIN (in the US anyway) it will indicate the model year, not the build date. My S60 was built (very) late in 2000 but is a 2001... From what I understand this is common, it takes a while to fill the pipeline. In fact the '02 models are being built now.
BTW, love the pics, used one as a background for a while...

Floor it next time you are first in line at the light. With a base engine
you will be moving slightly ahead of the pack. With a T5 you will be way
ahead of everyone else. After a few seconds you look ahead and if you see
a 850 in yellow black or red that one might be the real T5R.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

He-he
One banana-yellow T5-R - $13-16k
Full gas of tank - $25-30
The look on the face of a "Ultimate Driving Machine" driver, when you
see it in the rear-view mirror - Priceless..
Couldn't resist either :)
