An Extremely Awful Pun

A group of chess enthusiasts were milling about the lobby of the hotel where their tournament was being held. Each one in turn was bragging about their most recent games. After listening to them for awhile, the hotel manager suddenly burst forth from behind the counter and ordered them to disperse.

"But why?" they asked.

"Because," the distraught manager replied, "If there's anything I can't stand, it's a bunch of chess nuts boasting in an open foyer!"
