Music F Fist Fuck, Inc.

FAITH NO MORE - The Real Thing [CD/1989] 10/10=A varied, perfect album all around, but noone needs me to tell them. Of course I listened to this album for about a year and a half before it became famous and everyone jumped on.
FAITH NO MORE - Angel Dust [CD/1992] 10/10=It is hard to pick a best album by this band, since they have three that are either perfect or totter on the edge of perfection. This is their darkest affair, and fucking brilliant.
FAITH NO MORE - King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime [CD/1995] 9/10=I'll give the edge to the last two albums, but this is yet another slab of vintage, varied Faith No More, a band all to themselves with absolutely no peers.
FAITH NO MORE - Album of the Year [CD/1997] 6/10=I was actually disappointed, there were progressions through the last three records, but on this, their final work, a lot just sounds like outtakes from King for a Day...

FALCONER - Falconer [CD/2001]
FALCONER - Chapters from a Vale Forlorn [CD/2002]
FALCONER - The Sceptre of Deception [CD/2003]
FALCONER - Grime vs. Grandeur [CD/2005]
FALCONER - Northwind [CD/2006] 6/10=I can't keep my Falconer straight, is this the same new album as the other? Because I think I like it a little better...eh, one day I'll straighten out this confusion.
FALCONER - Among Beggars and Thieves [CD/2008] 10/10=Sending a massive fist flying into my face, Falconer release a masterpiece of power/folk metal with some of the best riffing this style has ever heard. Fucking epic.

FALL OF THE LEAFE - Evanescent, Everfading [CD/1997] 7/10=Has some brilliant moments, it's melodic Finnish death metal but done in such a way that noone else sounded quite like it at the time.
FALL OF THE LEAFE - August Wernicke [CD/2000] 7/10=The band further expand their sound to encompass more abstraction in their lyrics and more dynamics to their riffs.
FALL OF THE LEAFE - Fermina [CD/2002] 8/10=Their best album yet, the abstract lyrics kick ass, the varied melodic deathmetal/goth/art rock style is a step into a new direction that few bands have dared.
FALL OF THE LEAFE - Volvere [CD/2004] 8/10=A great quality band, they are progressive, melodic, catchy, and intelligent yet not pretentious in the slightest, even despite some of the corny vocals.
FALL OF THE LEAFE - Vantage [CD/2005] 8/10=These guys are always interesting with their unique approach at goth metal, amazing lyrics as usual and a lot of catchy melodies, gets better on each spin.
FALL OF THE LEAFE - Aerolithe [CD/2007] 9/10=Wonderful album, their strongest yet, following the path of the past three but still includes some of the metal influence from the earlier records. Amazing.

FASTWAY - Fastway [CD/1983] 8/10=Fastway was a great UK rock'n'roll band that, despite being far better than any hair band in the 80s, never got a fucking chance. Why, I have no clue, but this is kickass, honest hardrock.
FASTWAY - All Fired Up [CD/1984] 8/10=Just as solid as the first record, and loaded to the teeth with great hardrock anthems, such as the title track, 'Hung Up on Love', and the darker 'If You Could See'.
FASTWAY - Waiting for the Roar [CD/1985] 8/10=With an added synth presence, you'd figure this band would start to suck, and yet they roll with it and do it quite well, this is as good as 80s Van Halen, no doubt.
FASTWAY - Trick or Treat [CD/1986] 9/10=Yessss! My favorite Fastway, the soundtrack to the cheesy horror flick Trick of Treat. Who can forget that title track, or 'After Midnight'. Plus, they dumped the fucking synth on this!
FASTWAY - On Target [CD/1988] 8/10=Synths are back of course, but this is ANOTHER kickass rock & roll album, Lea Hart takes over the vocal position and does well. Don't forget the band was founded by ex-MOTORHEAD Eddie Clark!
FASTWAY - Bad Bad Girls [CD/1990] 8/10=They got a bunch of Girlschool members in the band, so this title is actually pretty apt, and it's yet another good rocking record, leaving little to be desired.

FATES WARNING - Night on Brocken [CD/1984] 7/10=John Arch ruled when he was in Fates Warning, and they got off to a great start. Moody, atmospheric, classic metal with his sirenlike voice over the top.
FATES WARNING - The Spectre Within [CD/1985] 10/10=Unfuckingbelievably good. There is not a song on here I dislike, and it is truly one of the metal gems of the 80s. Their best record ever.
FATES WARNING - Awaken the Guardian [CD/1986] 9/10=Another asskicking album, although not 100% perfect like The Spectre Within, this is still one of the highlights of their career.
FATES WARNING - No Exit [CD/1988] 8/10=Arch out, Alder in. Another great singer, this has a thrashier, simpler edge but is the last pure Fates Warning album in this style, before becoming highly progressive.
FATES WARNING - Perfect Symmetry [CD/1989] 8/10=A pretty major change, they have a melodic, dark progressive sound, but Alder compliments it well and this is a great album with a lot of songs I remember.
FATES WARNING - Parallels [CD/1991] 7/10=Excellent production, decent songwriting, but one can't help that this is a bit too clean. Regardless, there are some good tunes here like 'We Never Say Goodbye'.
FATES WARNING - Inside Out [CD/1994] 8/10=I liked it a lot, the more I listened the more it grew on me, about equivalent in quality with Perfect Symmetry.
FATES WARNING - A Pleasant Shade of Gray [CD/1997] 6/10=This WAS my least favorite Fates Warning album, essentially a concept album with one song divided into parts, just too much of this is soft, I wanted more hard edge.
FATES WARNING - Disconnected [CD/2000] 5/10=Never a band afraid to branch out a little, there are of course some electronic elements taking root within Fates Warning. Still, has a few great tracks and some shit ones ('Pieces of Me').
FATES WARNING - FWX [CD/2004] 7/10=A few of the electronic aspects are retained, but I can't help but feel that Fates Warning has returned on this record, fans of their prog phase will enjoy it. Song titles SUCK, so fucking generic.

FERMENTING INNARDS - Myst [CD/1995] 9/10=Classic German black/death, melody, fantastic songwriting, catchy as all hell, recommended.

FIFTH ANGEL - Fifth Angel [CD/1986] 10/10=This is a very commercial sounding metal album...walking the line between hard rock and real metal...but every song is great and it's one of my personal favorites.
FIFTH ANGEL - Time Will Tell [CD/1989] 7/10=Doesn't have the classic appeal of the debut, strays more into a commercial hook-laden sound...still a lot of good terms but lightning didn't strike twice for me.

FILTER - Short Bus [DVD69/1995] 7/10=A good debut for the US alternative metal band, really showed their potential, doesn't hold up that well for me today.
FILTER - Title of Record [DVD69/1999] 8/10=Even better than the debut, really the only problem with Filter is the occasionally lame lyrical lines that pollute otherwise good tunes.
FILTER - The Amalgamut [DVD69/2002] 8/10=It's the best Filter, with stunning songs like "Columind" and "Needle" but again it's just a matter of taking out those few really stupid lyrical lines.
FILTER - Anthems of the Damned [CD/2008] 7/10=Another strong showing from Filter, sounds a lot like the previous album, but has plenty of those moments you have come to enjoy the band for.

FINNTROLL - Rivfader [CD/1998] 5/10=Ah, the dawn of the accidental Finnish polka troll/blackmetal band, and this demo is where it started, and doesn't sound so bad.
FINNTROLL - Midnattens Widunder [CD/1999] 10/10=Simply put, one of the greatest albums of all time...if you do not like this then you are NOT my friend. Swing your FUCKING FROTHING MUGS because it doesn't get better than this, dogs!
FINNTROLL - Jaktens Tid [CD/2001] 8/10=I didn't think Finntroll could top Midnattens Widunder, and I was correct in that assumption, though this is still a sturdy slab of sop-it-up, jiggy polka troll metal in Swedish..?!?
FINNTROLL - Visor Om Slutet [CD/2003] 10/10=Un fucking real, but not in the same that Midnattens Widunder is unreal. This is mainly acoustic, medieval fantasy troll music...and it is a total trip. No metal except in the vocals.
FINNTROLL - Trollhammaren [CD/2004] 6/10=Sweet EP from the troll masters, and only the title track is on the forthcoming full-length Nattfrodd.
FINNTROLL - Nattfrodd [CD/2004] 9/10=It didn't blow me away quite like Midnattens or Visor Om Slutet, but it's still an incredible record and worth owning for anyone who considers themselves in the least bit tasteful.
FINNTROLL - Ur Jordens Djup [CD/2007] 10/10=Fantastic, they have not skipped a beat and they have released one of their best records to date. Perfect songs, perfect entertainment, no filler, Finntroll.

FIREWIND - Nocturnal Symphony [CD/1999] 4/10=Pretty much sucks, except some of the guitars, but hey, it's Gus G., Guitar God, from Greece. That's a lot of G's.
FIREWIND - Between Heaven and Hell [CD/2002] 7/10=The years have been kind to Firewind, this is far superior to that piece of shit album-length demo they did. A solid, classic-styled heavy metal album that you will enjoy.
FIREWIND - Burning Earth [CD/2003] 7/10=Another solid slab of metal, but I wouldn't call it better than the last one. I think the issue is that Gus G. spreads himself thin in too many bands that sound the same.
FIREWIND - Forged by Fire [CD/2005] 8/10=Chitral from Avalon takes over the vocals, and it works. This is Firewind's best album, with some nice, brutal Gus G. metal riffs leading the charge.
FIREWIND - Allegiance [CD/2006] 8/10=Superb production, great heavy metal, and they've really come into their own power metal niche. Awesome. I'd give it an even higher score if it left out the occasional fairy vocals.
FIREWIND - Falling to Pieces [CD/2006] 3/10=A single with three tunes on it, just skip and go right for their latest full-length which is great.
FIREWIND - The Premonition [CD/2008] 9/10=A superb heavy metal record, now go back and listen to Nocturnal Symphony and hear how far they have come. Thus far this is their crowning achievement, extremely catchy material.

FLESHCRAWL - Festering Flesh [CD/1991] 6/10=Pretty sweet demo by this German death metal staple, one of the most consistent bands in the genre, keeping death alive even today!
FLESHCRAWL - Descend into the Asburd [CD/1992] 8/10=This is a death metal classic, successful in meeting all qualifications for that title. Brutal, catchy, and still worth a spin. Perhaps not their best album though.
FLESHCRAWL - Impurity [CD/1993] 8/10=This is where you will notice those grinding Swedish style guitars entering the picture, but they actually mark for a slight improvement in the band's sound. Another great record.
FLESHCRAWL - Bloodsoul [CD/1996] 8/10=Another sick album, even sicker actually. This is the German 'Left Hand Path', just listen once and you will know what I mean.
FLESHCRAWL - Bloodred Massacre [CD/1997] 8/10=Notice a consistency here, in the quality of this band's records? They are 100% loyal to what they do, and to those who love them. Still haven't quite got their breakout album yet...
FLESHCRAWL - As Blood Rains from the Sky [CD/2000] 8/10=Again, another rock solid death metal album in the vein of early Dismember and Entombed, still doesn't have that 'edge' it needs to put them at the top of the game.
FLESHCRAWL - Soulskinner [CD/2001] 8/10=Sixth tight full-length album in a row...one band I notice a parallel with is Vomitory, although Vomitory have produced some better albums than these guys.
FLESHCRAWL - Made of Flesh [CD/2004] 7/10=Again, if you find yourselves listening to your old Entombed and Dismember CDs more than is justifiably healthy, this is the band for you. Nothing here is new, but it IS good.
FLESHCRAWL - Structures of Death [DVD69/2007] 7/10=When it's on, it's on fire, but there are a few too many 'done that' parts and some pretty boring tunes, I'd say it's on par with the last album.

FLOWER TRAVELLIN' BAND - Anywhere [CD/1970] 6/10=A hard record to really judge, though this Japanese band is a legend, the debut consisted of a harmonica bit and cover of Sabbath, King Crimson, Muddy Waters and Tex Alexander.
FLOWER TRAVELLIN' BAND - Satori [CD/1971] 10/10=Not only the best Flower Travellin' record, but one of the best concept albums ever created. Trippy psychedelic doom that gives Sabbath MORE than a run for their money in 1971.
FLOWER TRAVELLIN' BAND - Made in Japan [CD/1972] 10/10=Though the songs are shorter, this is just about as good as Satori. Every song is memorable and amazing, and wow....freak out. Drop acid. Love this band.

FORBIDDEN - Forbidden Evil [CD/1988] 8/10=A very good Bay Area classic thrash album, and it did get them quite a bit of attention.
FORBIDDEN - Twisted Into Form [CD/1990] 8/10=The second album is every bit as good as the first, and it gave them a video, more exposure, etc, though they were never able to capitalize since grunge killed metal.

FORCED ENTRY (US) - Uncertain Future [CD/1989] 8/10=This album just had a visceral, gut-wrenching thrashing bludgeoning force to it that made it stand out. Not technically impressive, but forceful, as the band's moniker would imply.
FORCED ENTRY (US) - As Above, So Below [CD/1991] 7/10=Some great song titles, and a similar style overall to Uncertain Future, perhaps more technical, I docked it a point for the stupid songs like 'We're Dicks'. Idiots.

FOREST SILENCE - The Eternal Winter [CD/2002] 6/10=A great, moody black metal demo from this Hungarian maniacs. Three tracks but all are lengthy and glorious. Nice simple synths. Check it out if you ever get the chance.
FOREST SILENCE - Philosophy of Winter [CD/2006] 10/10=SUPERB...black doom with ambience in spades, wonderful compositions, carry me the fuck away, totally blows everything they have done before out of the water.

FORGOTTEN TOMB - Obscura Arcana Mortis [CD/2000] 7/10=An excellent EP of raw, melodic Italian black metal, they don't have the amazing slower parts here that they will use later though. Still, this is a great time for an EP.
FORGOTTEN TOMB - Songs to Leave [CD/2002] 10/10=This is simply amazing. Here the doom elements really kick in, and they are capable of stunning the listener with the saddest, most depressing, yet excellent melodies. Fucking rules.
FORGOTTEN TOMB - Springtime Depression [CD/2003] 9/10=More atmospheric than Songs to Leave, and nearly perfect once more, but I liked the more stripped sound they had on that album and don't think the change is for the better.
FORGOTTEN TOMB - Love's Burial Ground [CD/2004] 9/10=The natural evolution from Springtime Depression, this is still a mighty fucking record and probably a little bit better than the last.
FORGOTTEN TOMB - Negative Megalomania [CD/2007] 7/10=Rather a letdown after the past three albums which were all unbelievably good, the music here still rules but the vocals sound like a metalcore kid doing black metal. Too loud.

FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Nerve War [CD/1986]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - The Initial Command [CD/1987]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - State of Mind [CD/1988]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Disorder [CD/1988]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Convergence [CD/1988]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Digital Tension Dementia [CD/1988]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Gashed Senses and Crossfire [CD/1989]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - No Limit [CD/1989]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Iceolate [CD/1990]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Provision [CD/1990]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Toxic [CD/1990]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Caustic Grip [CD/1990] 8/10=Excellent industrial, I still maintain this is one of their best albums, it seemed so urgent and vital when it was released.
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Virus [CD/1991]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Mindphaser [CD/1992]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Tactical Neural Implant [CD/1992]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - The Blade [CD/1992]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Total Terror [CD/1993, re-release]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Total Terror II [CD/1993, re-release]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Millenium [CD/1994] 8/10=One of the most thoroughly ass-kicking of the first wave of industrial metal bands. This is a pretty damn fine record that holds up even today.
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Surface Patterns [CD/1994]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Circuitry [CD/1995]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Hard-Wired [CD/1995] 8/10=Another great record from these industrial pioneers, though already you can hear some of the metal elements starting to drift away from the music.
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Implode [CD/1999] 7/10=Pretty tight record, by this point Front Line was doing pure industrial/EBM.
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Epitaph [CD/2001] 8/10=Very enjoyable, if not much different than the last album Implode. Quality EBM with a darker industrial edge reminiscent of their early days.
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Plasticity [CD/1996] 4/10=Three-track EP that doesn't offer much in the way of value, though the material is solid.
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Live Wired [CD/1996]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Colombian Necktie [CD/1997]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Flavour of the Weak [CD/1997]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Comatose [CD/1998]
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Civilization [CD/2004] 7/10=It's starting to grow on me, but this one is pretty strange, I can't really tell what they are going for. Certainly more diverse than the last few records.
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Artificial Soldier [CD/2006] 8/10=Another high quality FLA release, this is a bit more aggressive than Civilization or Epitaph and perhaps a little closer to their roots.
FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY - Fallout [CD/2007] 8/10=Great remix album from some of their contemporaries as well as members of FMA themselves, also has 3 tracks that weren't included on Artificial Solider. "Electric Dreams" is awesome.

FUNKER VOGT - Words of Power [CD/1997]
FUNKER VOGT - Thanks for Nothing [CD/1997] 8/10=Sick EBM industrial, straightforward and aggressive, only docked it a few points for some very generic synth lines.
FUNKER VOGT - We Came to Kill [CD/1997] 5/10=I didn't really care for this one, the songs are pretty boring and generic, and not as catchy as their other albums.
FUNKER VOGT - Killing Time Again [CDx2/1998] 6/10=Some new songs and some remixes, it's entertaining overall if you are a fan of this band...
FUNKER VOGT - eXecution Tracks [CD/199?] 8/10=Every bit as good as Thanks for Nothing, this is their most accomplished album to date.
FUNKER VOGT - vs. Velvet Acid Christ [CD/1999]
FUNKER VOGT - Tragic Hero [CD/1999] 6/10=Four pretty good remixes of 'Tragic Hero' from the eXecution Tracks album, and some other remixes, and a new song.
FUNKRE VOGT - Gunman [CD/2000]
FUNKER VOGT - Maschine Zeit [CD/2000] 7/10=Another solid album, and while I enjoyed it, I just seem to like a few of their old albums better than the new stuff.
FUNKER VOGT - NeuZeit [CD/2000]
FUNKER VOGT - Subspace [CD/2001]
FUNKER VOGT - Code 7477 [CD/2001]
FUNKER VOGT - Survivor [CD/2002] 7/10=They've mellowed out a bit and are built for the dance floor now at the Goth clubs, but they still put out some music that gets better with each listen, despite its simplicity.
FUNKER VOGT - Navigator [DVD29/2005] 7/10=Another good but not great record from the mighty Funker Vogt, I still need another with the quality of eXecution tracks or Thanks for Nothing.
FUNKER VOGT - Aviator [DVD29/2007] 7/10=Completely in line with the last two albums.
