CALM HATCHERY - El Alamein [CD/2004] 10/10=Fucking amazing technical death metal from Poland, super catchy and often has some insane technical thrash riffs. I loved every goddamn second of it.

CANDLEMASS - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus [CDx2/1986] 8/10=Wow...I nearly shit myself when this came out, although they would perfect their operatic doom metal later.
CANDLEMASS - Nightfall [CDx2/1987] 10/10=And here it is, perfection...one of the finest metal albums ever produced, gothic doom metal with plenty of Sabbath influence and an operatic singer. I'm not kidding when I say that this took Sabbath and upped the ante.
CANDLEMASS - Ancient Dreams [CDx2/1988] 9/10=A great album, but just more of the same.
CANDLEMASS - Tales of Creation [CDx2/1990] 8/10=Another good album, but again, more of what they already did better the first time around, not as inspiring, still real cool.
CANDLEMASS - Chapter VI [CD/1992] 6/10=While not necessarily bad, this record just pales in comparison to the first four, also it's picked up a little and busier, something I don't necessarily need with my Candlemass.
CANDLEMASS - Sjunger Sigge Frust [CD/1993] 1/10=What the flying sam hill fuck is this?
CANDLEMASS - Dactylis Glomerata [CD/1998] 7/10=Very nice, they are back with a different vocalist and a somewhat heavier, more subtle style. I enjoyed this and the followup a lot.
CANDLEMASS - From the 13th Sun [CD/1999] 7/10=Also very cool, good to see a band find its second wind and succeed with it for once.
CANDLEMASS - Candlemass [CD/2005] 8/10=Messiah returns to Candlemass, and the result is good. Almost as if he hadn't ever left...this may not trump their past doom metal glory, but it's a damn fine attempt.
CANDLEMASS - King of the Grey Islands [CD/2007] 8/10=Out with Messiah for good, and in with Robert Lowe...so in other words, this sounds like a Solitude Aeternus record, albeit a damn good Solitude Aeternus record :)
CANDLEMASS - Lucifer Rising [CD/2008]

CANNIBAL CORPSE - Eaten Back to Life [CD/1990] 6/10=The most important thing about this album is that it made me laugh my ass off for weeks, especially the lyrics to songs like 'Mangled'.
CANNIBAL CORPSE - Butchered at Birth [CD/1991] 6/10=A solid album like the first, I don't like Chris Barnes' vocals very much but there are good riffs here and there.
CANNIBAL CORPSE - Tomb of the Mutilated [CD/1992] 6/10=They seem to inch their way towards being better with each album.
CANNIBAL CORPSE - The Bleeding [CD/1994] 7/10=The best album with Chris Barnes as the singer, and thank goodness the fucking loser left.
CANNIBAL CORPSE - Vile [CD/1996] 6/10=First album with Corpsegrinder, it's not as good as the previous outing but they are just trying to get their footing again...trust me, read on.
CANNIBAL CORPSE - Gallery of Suicide [CD/1998] 8/10=Whack my balls with a paddle! A great album that improves upon Vile in many ways, second only to...
CANNIBAL CORPSE - Bloodthirst [CD/1999] 10/10=Holy mother fuck. This is one of two albums to restore my faith in good, quality death metal, alongside the debut by Decapitated. This is a flawless album and if you disagree I will beat your face in with a crowbar.
CANNIBAL CORPSE - Gore Obsessed [CD/2002] 8/10=Another strong record but they switched productions and it takes a bit of getting used to.
CANNIBAL CORPSE - Worm Infested [CD/2002] 3/10=An EP with a few decent songs, but this could have been like added to Gore Obsessed instead of sold separately.
CANNIBAL CORPSE - Live Cannibalism [CD/2003] 1/10=You went this long without a live album, why sodomize the faithful now?
CANNIBAL CORPSE - 15 Year Killing Spree [CDx3/2003] 3/10=They cover Razor's 'Behind bars', so I gave it a few points for that and the rarities, otherwise it's worthless.
CANNIBAL CORPSE - The Wretched Spawn [CD/2004] 6/10=Kind of equivalent quality to their first few albums, it's listenable but nothing special. Hope this isn't a sign of some future regression.
CANNIBAL CORPSE - KILL [CD/2006] 8/10=Another great Cannibal Corpse record, just as good as Gore Obsessed though stylistically reminiscent of their masterpiece Bloodthirst.

CARCASS - Flesh Ripping Sonic Torment [CD/1987] 4/10=Well, there you have it...a 28-track 'demo' from Carcass, much of which would end up on the subsequent Reek of Putrefaction, vocalist is different on this.
CARCASS - Reek of Putrefaction [CD/1988] 5/10=I'll probably get carbombed for this. Revolutionary medical death/grind metal, yes...great album, no.
CARCASS - Symphonies of Sickness [CD/1989] 7/10=And this is when Carcass truly reared their ugly, unforgettable heads.
CARCASS - Necroticism: Descanting the Insalubrious [CD/1991] 8/10=They continued to improve here, style was beginning to change slightly to the more accessible.
CARCASS - Heartwork [CD/1993] 9/10=It's a very accessible death metal album, as in I listened to it to death, only gets old after 1,000 or so spins, and it's their best IMHO.
CARCASS - Swansong [CD/1995] 6/10=They get a little too rock'n'roll here, but it does have a few tunes to carry it. Good thing they broke up after this.
CARCASS - Wake Up and Smell the Carcass [CD/1996] 5/10=A reasonable compilation in that it contains a lot of stuff not on the albums, and most of their Tools of the Trade EP.

CARNAL FORGE - Who's Gonna Burn [CD/1997] 7/10=Brutal Swedish thrash, quite unrelenting and they make for a nice counterbalance from their melodeath peers. This is probably my favorite record by them.
CARNAL FORGE - Firedemon [CD/2000] 6/10=It's another intense album, but despite all the energy it feels like it is going through the motions, will still appeal to many, sounds nothing like the Carcass song that inspired them.
CARNAL FORGE - Please...Die [CD/2001] 7/10=Pretty good, my preference is for the band Darkane who are similar but these guys certainly pull their weight. Frantic Swedish thrash with some melodeath elements.
CARNAL FORGE - The More You Suffer [CD/2003] 5/10=It's their worst album, a lot of fury and energy to this Swedecore thrash stuff but little of substance.
CARNAL FORGE - Aren't You Dead Yet? [CD/2004] 7/10=I still prefer Darkane to Carnal Forge, but this is yet another solid thrashing Swedish melodeath album and far better than The More You Suffer.
CARNAL FORGE - Testify for My Victims [CD/2007] 9/10=Simply put their best record yet, quite excellent, especially if you are a huge fan of recent Darkane like I am.

CARPATHIAN FOREST - Through Chasms, Caves and Titan Woods [CD/1995] 6/10=An EP containing six tracks of this excellent band's plodding black metal. Maintains atmosphere and charisma despite the raw raw, subdued production.
CARPATHIAN FOREST - Bloodlust and Perversion [CD/1997] 7/10=This is a good CD, but unlike most, it is not my favorite Carpathian Forest. More raw, evil black metal madness.
CARPATHIAN FOREST - Black Shining Leather [CD/1998] 9/10=Absolute excellence, this is where they started their rather tongue in cheek approach, but the raw, rocking black metal found here is among the best of their career.
CARPATHIAN FOREST - Strange Old Brew [CD/2000] 10/10=Another sick album from these Norwegian madmen, I actually enjoy this slightly more than Black Shining Leather, the songwriting is a notch above that one, quite perfect.
CARPATHIAN FOREST - Morbid Fascination of Death [CD/2001] 8/10=The intro track is a little strange and the songs aren't as good overall as Strange Old Brew, but it's still pretty much a must have for fans of this necro kvlt.
CARPATHIAN FOREST - We Are Going to Hell for This [CD/2002] 5/10=It's a compilation, which saddens me, but this is one of the greatest bands in the world so you could do worse if you're a newbie to their stuff.
CARPATHIAN FOREST - Defending the Throne of Evil [CD/2003] 9/10=Sick. Sick. Sick. Love the album, love the song titles too like 'It's Darker Than You Think' and 'The Well of All Human Tears'. Perhaps their most melodic work.
CARPATHIAN FOREST - Skjend Hans Lik [DVD51/2004] 3/5=Compilation of various material, not really sure what the use for this is if you have it all, but fuck it's Carpathian Forest after all.
CARPATHIAN FOREST - Fuck You All [CD/2006] 10/10=Their best album in over five years, Nattefrost is pretty much perfection on this record, this is yet another perfect Carpathian Forest record, what else can I say?

CATHEDRAL - Forest of Equilibrium [CD/1991] 6/10=I believe this is their first actual album...very dreary, laid back doom with a distant production, and when I say doom here I mean DOOM.
CATHEDRAL - Soul Sacrifice [CD/1992] 7/10=A groovy, rockin' EP with just 4 songs but the quality here is obvious, his vocals are much deathier.
CATHEDRAL - The Ethereal Mirror [CD/1993] 9/10=A great record, and just so different than anything else in its day...I mean what, St. Vitus maybe? The prototype Cathedral album.
CATHEDRAL - Statik Majik [DVD52/1993] 4/5=Cool EP, most of the songs were available or become available on other releases, but it's worth it for the 22 minute "Voyage of the Homeless Sapien" alone.
CATHEDRAL - Cosmic Requiem [CD/1994] 6/10=Rocks out in that Cathedral way, especially 'Hypnos 164', this is an EP but it's almost 50 minutes long so it's well worth having.
CATHEDRAL - The Carnival Bizarre [CD/1995] 9/10=Neck in neck with The Ethereal Mirror for best Cathedral album...'Night of the Seagulls' may just be their best doom song in the Sabbath vein.
CATHEDRAL - Hopkins (the Witchfinder General) [CD/1995] 5/10=The title track is of course from the most recent full-length, but the cover of 'Fire' and the unreleased tracks make this a worthwhile listen.
CATHEDRAL - Supernatural Birth Machine [CD/1996] 5/10=With song titles like 'Stained Glass Horizon', 'Cyclops Revolution', 'Fireball Demon', and 'Suicide Asteroid', this should be the greatest Cathedral album ever...unfortunately it's not.
CATHEDRAL - Caravan Beyond Redemption [CD/1999] 7/10=It rocks in all the ways a Cathedral album should rock, but fails to addict me quite so much as the earlier albums.
CATHEDRAL - In Memorian [CD/1999] 4/10=An EP reissued with bonus live tracks to make one feel they are getting more for their money...the studio stuff is some of the doomiest they've done but not their best.
CATHEDRAL - Endtyme [CD/2001] 7/10=This is the doomiest album they've done in quite some time, but a real scorcher, some heavy fucking shit to be found here.
CATHEDRAL - The VIIth Coming [CD/2002] 6/10=A pretty solid album, but for some reason it's just not on par with their classics.
CATHEDRAL - The Garden of Unearthly Delights [CD/2005] 8/10=Nice to see Cathedral return somewhat to the form they had on Ethereal Mirror and Carnival Bizarre, this is my favorite album by them in some time.

CATHERINE WHEEL - She's My Friend [DVD63/1991] 4/5=I like the EP as much or more than the versions on Ferment.
CATHERINE WHEEL - Painful Thing [DVD63/1991] 3/5=The other EP is better, the vocals for this band get so much better on the albums.
CATHERINE WHEEL - Ferment [DVD62/1992] 7/10=For some reason unbeknownst to me "Black Metallic" remains their famous song...yet this album and that song are nowhere near as good as the material on Chrome or even Happy Days.
CATHERINE WHEEL - Chrome [CD/1993] 10/10=Their best record, every song is a gorgeous, lush melodic epic of shoegazing space rock, phenomenal, perfection.
CATHERINE WHEEL - Happy Days [CD/1995] 8/10=More diverse than the past two albums, and truth be told it has some killer songs, but it's not as pristine as Chrome.
CATHERINE WHEEL - Like Cats and Dogs [DVD62/1996] 6/10=They had mellowed out quite a bit for this one, and really it was to their detriment, they never recovered to create great music like Chrome or Happy Days again.
CATHERINE WHEEL - Adam & Eve [DVD62/1997] 6/10=Like LC&D, it's just a 'meh' album, it's not bad but certainly lacks the killer songwriting of Chrome.
CATHERINE WHEEL - Wishville [DVD62/2000] 7/10=Their last album, it was better than the two before it but still not up to snuff for Catherine Wheel, probably a good thing that they called it a day.

CELTIC FROST - Morbid Tales/Emperor's Return [CD/1984-85] 8/10=Great early black doom metal that really set the stage for many future bands.
CELTIC FROST - To Mega Therion [CD/1985] 9/10=Such an amazing atmosphere, and so crushing and heavy and different for its time.
CELTIC FROST - Into the Pandemonium [CD/1987] 9/10=An excellent, experimental album...I listened to it over and over again.
CELTIC FROST - Cold Lake [CD/1988] 8/10=Okay, it's 'cool' to dislike this album, but when you look at it as another of their experiments, this in a sleaze glam rock fashion, it's actually quite good. Do not believe what you hear from generic metalheads, listen yourself!
CELTIC FROST - Vanity/Nemesis [CD/1990] 6/10=Still a good sound and some decent tracks, but this is certainly their least ambitious work.
CELTIC FROST - Parched With Thirst Am I Dying? [CD/1992] 2/10=The two points are for the new songs that appear here, otherwise it's entirely worthless, since you already have the rest if you have a puls...err, if you have taste.
CELTIC FROST - Nemesis of Power [CD/1997] 4/10=I wouldn't necessarily call all the songs on this demo 'good', but in light of having no other Celtic Frost for over a decade, it might have sufficed with better production.
CELTIC FROST - Monotheist [CD/2006] 7/10=Took a few spins, but I actually like this, it's got all the Frost trademarks, doomy heavy sound, and lots of outside influences, experimental touches, and a great production.

CEMETARY - Evil Shade of Grey [CD/1992] 7/10=This was a pretty cool death metal album for the time, even among such an upstart pack as that Swedish scene.
CEMETARY - Godless Beauty [CD/1993] 6/10=Their sophomore album already showed the departure from the pure Swedish death of the debut into a more death'n'roll style, not far removed from Entombed and Desultory.
CEMETARY - Black Vanity [CD/1994]
CEMETARY - Sundown [CD/1995] 6/10=I've always been fond of Matthias Lodmalm's gothic metal style, this album isn't as good as Black Vanity or Last Confessions but it's still worth a few spins.
CEMETARY - Last Confessions [CD/1997] 8/10=One of their best albums, though had a simplistic gothic metal flair, I thought this was really unique material. Songs like '1213 Trancegalactica' were just great.
CEMETARY - The Beast Divine [CD/2000] 6/10=A decent enough record, not their best but still has some worth as it is certainly consistent with their earlier work.
CEMETARY - Phantasma [CD/2005] 6/10=It's not a bad record, but Lodmalm should have made this the 3rd Sundown record instead of using Cemetary's name for this, it is far more in the Sundown goth/industrial camp.

CENTINEX - Subconscious Lobotomy [CD/1992]
CENTINEX - Malleus Maleficarum [CD/1996] 8/10=Sophomore effort from this long-standing Swedish outfit, this was extremely good for its time and one of their best.
CENTINEX - Reflections [CD/1997] 7/10=These guys were on a roll from 1996-8, three years, three good records, this is better produced than the previous album but I didn't enjoy the songs quite so much.
CENTINEX - Reborn Through Flames [CD/1998]
CENTINEX - Bloodhunt [DVD41/1999] 5/5=Pretty killer EP from the Swedish death metal veterans.
CENTINEX - Hellbrigade [CD/2000]
CENTINEX - Apocalyptic Armageddon [DVD41/2001] 3/5=An EP with three tracks, not their strongest material.
CENTINEX - Diabolical Desolation [CD/2002] 7/10=The band's sixth album, not my favorite, often delves too deeply into generic melodeath territory, but for the most part it is still damned better than most.
CENTINEX - Decadence: Prophecies of Cosmic Chaos [CD/2004] 7/10=I enjoyed this about as much as their previous album, has a lot of melody but executed with some taste, good riffs here but not their best album.
CENTINEX - World Declension [CD/2005] 8/10=A pretty damn good Swedish death band, they are exciting and well-produced without crossing over the line into being too melodeath, this would be their eighth and final album.

CHASTAIN - Mystery of Illusion [CD/1985] 8/10=Chastain kicked ass with Leather Leone at the helm, this is fucking rad oldschool metal with vicious venomous female vocals. No prisoners. "The Black Knight!".
CHASTAIN - Ruler of the Wasteland [CD/1986] 8/10=They never went wrong in the old days, Leather was always great and the riffs were always flowing due to the amazing David Chastain's guitar skills.
CHASTAIN - The 7th of Never [CD/1987] 8/10=A great record, one of the best Chastain efforts all around, though I prefer the riffs on For Those Who Dare. At any rate, one of the best Chastain 'band' recordings.
CHASTAIN - Voice of the Cult [CD/1988] 7/10=Another solid album from the legendary guitar player's official band. Not much more you can say...my least favorite album with Leather on vocals but still not bad at all.
CHASTAIN, DAVID T. - Within the Heat [CD/1989] 7/10=David Chastain is a cool guy and a great guitar player, no doubt, but I've never dug his later, more jazzy, standard instrumental albums so this is my favorite solo by him.
CHASTAIN - For Those Who Dare [CD/1990] 8/10=My only issue on this album is with the drums, they are extremely weak for such excellent music, if not for the drums, this would be a perfect metal album, still my fave Chastain though.
CHASTAIN - Sick Society [CD/1995] 5/10=The problem here is not that this is a particularly terrible album, but it is trying too hard to live up to the popular groove metal of the time, ala Pantera and Biohazard, with female vox.
CHASTAIN - In Dementia [CD/1997] 5/10=Again, there are great Chastain riffs here, but the record is just too goofy and Kate French is simply no Leather Leone.
CHASTAIN - In An Outrage [CD/2004] 6/10=The simplified music is not nearly as good as For Those Who Dare, but at least it recalls that atmosphere and Kate French does a good Leather Leone impersonation. Not bad.

CIRITH UNGOL - Frost and Fire [CD/1980] 3/10=They sucked pretty hard at first but at least it has nostalgic merit.
CIRITH UNGOL - King of the Dead [CD/1984] 3/10=Still sucking, but again...it has a quirky nostalgic tone to it.
CIRITH UNGOL - One Foot in Hell [CD/1986] 8/10=A great record, they truly brought their sound into the 80s here. I love the tones and production of this record, and the lyrics and music.
CIRITH UNGOL - Paradise Lost [CD/1991] 7/10=A solid followup, too bad it would be their last. Songs here can be goofy, like 'The Troll', but very fucking catchy.

CJSS - World Gone Mad [CD/1986] 7/10=Another of David Chastain's projects, this is perhaps a more energetic version of Chastain with male vocals, with Dave's playing all over the place.
CJSS - Praise the Loud [CD/1986] 8/10=I loved this one, came out the same year as World Gone Mad but the songs here are a bit stronger. Great, catchy 80s metal album, a gem forgotten in time.
CJSS - Kings of the World [CD/2000] 7/10=Took 14 years for us to get the 3rd album, but we did and it's quite good, I love that it has the same kind of 80s production, really wish we would get more from this project.

CLIENT - Client [CD/2003]
CLIENT - City [CD/2004]
CLIENT - Metropolis [CD/2005]
CLIENT - Heartland [CD/2007] 8/10=Electro mod pop, imagine a Bananarama update for the synthpop generation, it's pretty good and gets better with a few listens, if you loved the recent Goldfrapp, this is better.

CLOVEN HOOF - Opening Ritual/Cloven Hoof [CD/1983-4] 8/10=Kickass NWOBHM band that opted for a darker edge than many peers, though the influence of Saxon and Priest is certainly heard here, I still enjoy this stuff today!
CLOVEN HOOF - Dominator [CD/1988]
CLOVEN HOOF - A Sultan's Ransom [CD/1989] 8/10=Ever the poster-boys for quality 80s power metal, this album is no exception and I think I enjoyed just about every song on this disc.
CLOVEN HOOF - Eye of the Storm [CD/2006] 8/10=I've been wanting a new Cloven Hoof record for how long now? And I am not fucking disappointed in the slightest, because this is just as badass as their early records.

COCCO - Bougainvillea [DVD96/1997] 7/10=This isn't her best album, but a good introduction to this Japanese singer's brand of shoegaze meets folk rock meets pop meets symphony. Seriously, a diverse and unique find here.
COCCO - Kumuiuta [DVD96/1998] 9/10=A fantastic sophomore album, still stands as one of her best today! Just about every track is priceless.
COCCO - Rapunzel [DVD96/2000] 9/10=Another total killer from Cocco, a diverse and satisfying album from the stoney shoegazer rock of "Kemono Michi" to the groove of "Ureta Tsumi".
COCCO - Sangrose [DVD96/2001] 8/10=There are still some amazing moments and songs on this fourth album but overall a little weaker than the previous two.
COCCO - Zansaian [DVD96/2006] 8/10=Back after her hiatus, and there are more pop and electronic elements here, but still her patented shoegazer jpop everywhere.
COCCO - Kirakira [DVD96/2007] 7/10=A pretty tranquil album from Cocco, a lot of this reminds me of a Japanese alternative to the Cranberries. Good but not her best album.

COLDWORKER - The Contaminated Void [CD/2006] 8/10=Awesome new deathgrind project featuring Anders of Nasum, works as both a tribute to that style and a sharper honed tech death attack.
COLDWORKER - Rotting Paradise [CD/2008] 9/10=Another amazing release, even superior to the first Coldworker album, think Nasum if injected with technical death metal, fucking excellent album.

CONTROL HUMAN DELETE - Terminal World Perspective [CD/2007] 9/10=Amazing industrial black metal, with a sound somewhere near Myrkskog's Deathmachine. This is a great record from this new Dutch band.

CORONER - Death Cult [CD/1986] 6/10=From the very first demo, the talent inherent in this legendary band was already quite obvious.
CORONER - R.I.P. [CD/1987] 9/10=The dawn of a mighty fucking band, that has never been equalled since at what they do.
CORONER - Punishment for Decadence [CD/1988] 10/10=Drool...one of the best metal albums ever conceived or played.
CORONER - No More Color [CD/1989] 10/10=Somewhat better production than the last album, making it even more perfect.
CORONER - Mental Vortex [CD/1991] 8/10=They kinda fell off a little but it's still an interesting listen with some great songs.
CORONER - Grin [CD/1993] 7/10=Their most experimental output, but I still enjoy it to a degree.
CORONER - Coroner [CD/1995] 4/10=A lot of songs from albums, worthless, but some new tracks and rare stuff, this was it for Coroner.

COUNT RAVEN - Storm Warning [CD/1990] 7/10=A good album and a solid start for this Sabbath inspired cult band, there are a few cheesy lyrics that sound a little out of place, but the vocals ape Ozzy and therefore rule...
COUNT RAVEN - Destruction of the Void [CD/1992] 9/10=This is quite fucking excellent, probably the best Sabbath ripoff album ever made...it rocks with abandon and you can just feel your doom ooze forth.
COUNT RAVEN - High on Infinity [CD/1993] 8/10=I'll maintain that this is the best Black Sabbath since the original Black Sabbath and just leave it there.
COUNT RAVEN - Messiah of Confusion [CD/1996] 6/10=The resurrection of early Sabbath continues, but here they really just seem to be going through the motions, I prefer High on Infinity and Destruction of the Void.

CRAFT - Total Eclipse [CD/1999] 4/10=The band's demo was a lot spacier and doomier than their albums, and coincidentally more original. An entertaining demo.
CRAFT - Total Soul Rape [CD/2000] 8/10=I'm only docking it two points because its essentially a copy of Darkthrone and Celtic Frost, but such a great copy that it's entirely worth listening to. But I eat this shit up, so I am probably biased.
CRAFT - Terror Propaganda [CD/2002] 9/10=This album also rocks, and has some thrashier riffs at times than its predecessor, and overall I enjoy it more. As a whole, it's slightly more original than Total Soul Rape. I like listening to black metal that actually feels like black metal, what can I say?
CRAFT - Fuck the Universe [CD/2005] 8/10=Not as blown over by this as I was with Terror Propaganda, but they take their Darkthrone worship in a more energetic direction this time out. Grimness and evil retained.

CREEPMIME - Shadows [CD/1993]
CREEPMIME - Chiaroscuro [CD/1995] 8/10=Creepmime were a pretty amazing death metal band from Holland, fans of Death and Pestilence should definitely check them out. A slightly technical style with good songwriting.

CRIONICS - Beyond the Blazing Horizon [CD/2000] 7/10=Debut EP from a fairly competent black/death band, with minor symphonic elements. Poland is quite a metal hotbed...Vader, Behemoth, Dies Irae, Decapitated, Sceptic, now this.
CRIONICS - Human Error: Ways to Self-Destruction [CD/2002] 8/10=A black metal album that manages to be impressive as well as profound...I love that blank during the opening sample, nice fucking touch, nice fucking album.
CRIONICS - Armageddon's Evolution [CD/2004] 8/10=Another punishing, superb album of black/death metal with some symphonic and cyber-elements to spice up the production. A killer band, I'm surprised more people haven't caught on.
CRIONICS - Neuthrone [CD/2007] 9/10=A sweltering behemoth of Behemoth-like black/death with ambient elements that add an extra level, the best Crionics yet and a must have for fans of Polish brutality. Amazing.

CRYPTICUS - Dedicated to the Impure [CD/2005] 8/10=Very cool Colorado death metal, mix of both new and oldschool with some thrash ala Testament, nice samples and tight songwriting. Worth tracking down.
CRYPTICUS - They Called Me Mad [CD/2008]

CURVE - Blindfold [CD/1991] 6/10=One of my favorite girly swirly bands ever, but they did put out an enormous number of EPs like this, which was pretty annoying.
CURVE - Frozen [CD/1991] 6/10=Another good EP from this UK band, playing slightly industrial pop rock with swirly girl vocals.
CURVE - Cherry [CD/1991] 6/10=Does life ever feel repetetive to you? Well, in that case, you should stop buying Curve EPs that have four songs on them.
CURVE - Fait Accompli [CD/1992] 3/10=Oooh, this one has only three tunes! Some of this is on Doppelganger, so skip it.
CURVE - Doppelganger [CD/1992] 9/10=An excellent, excellent album, just shy of perfection, I love the production and I loved their style.
CURVE - Blacker Three Tracker 1 [CD/1993] 2/10=Hmmm, must be another EP, Curve! Suck that fat record label dick!
CURVE - Cuckoo [CD/1993] 9/10=More focused than Doppelganger, also more diverse, with just as many memorable songs. Loved it.
CURVE - Chinese Burn [CD/1997] 3/10=A single with some remixes of a tune from their worst album, Come Clean, which I don't actually have at the moment. Yay.
CURVE - Open Day at the Hate Fest [CD/2001] 7/10=A pretty rare album, I think they sold it to their fans directly through downloads, some of their heaviest material is here, some similar to Cuckoo, a good album overall.
CURVE - Gift [CD/2001] 6/10=It opens with the killer 'Hell Above the Water', which some of you may know from a trailer for the 1st Spider-Man flick, but it gets weaker from there and can never equal or rival that tune..

CYNIC - Focus [CD/1993] 8/10=Considered by many the archetypal death/jazz metal record...with elements of Death, Atheist, Watchtower, Sieges Even, and so forth, with some filtered vocals et all. A fine album, but perhaps eclipsed by its own hype.
CYNIC - Traced in Air [CD/2008] 8/10=Well, the EP was a solid indicator of the quality here, this is even more diverse than their debut Focus but still quite Cynic and quite an interesting listen!
