Christmas

Now Christmas has come round at last
In this year of 2003:
With all the usual trappings
Including the Christmas Tree.

 The presents are all beautifully wrapped,
I think we’ve got ‘em all:
But perhaps we’ll make one last trip,
Down to the shopping mall.

The year just gone has seen so much, 
So many changes there have been:
Too many here to mention,
But you’ll all know what I mean.

We’ve moved into Blue Hills Village,
And bought a brand new car,
And I gotta stop the missus,
From travelling too far.

But the greatest blessing we have had, 
Is only rather small:
A brand new baby granddaughter,
Now ‘don’t that just beat all?’

 So have a wonderful Christmas,
Our heartfelt wishes we send:
May peace and joy and love,
Each one of you, and yours attend.
