OLD MAN KANE
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
     OLD MAN KANE is a melodic,  bass-heavy   rock band with emotionally powerfull lyrics.  We believe that our songs relate to everyone  out there..

Old Man Kane is in the process of recording   a full album, which should be ready by or     shortly after Christmas, 2005. We hope you    enjoy these 2 old demo ruff tracks.

       It all started back in April of 2002,   when Dan Cleveland, former drummer for        "Bridge" contacted his old childhood friend   Eric Cruz, former singer for "ILLMINDED" &    "VS2K", wanting to resurrect some old songs   of Eric's.  Dan had believed that Eric?s      emotional lyrics had substance. They          immediately began discussing what they both   wanted and possibly what their goals should   be. Eric had a vision of something better,    more appealing, and could relate to almost    everyone that listened to the music. After a  few more phone calls between the two of       them, Eric and Dan began the tedious job of   searching for the perfect ensemble..

      The first one to be called into action   was a close friend, talented bassist and      music producer named Joe Sykes. Joe had been  in the process of producing hip/hop, house    and storyline instrumentals from his private  studio. They spoke about the concept and      both agreed that it was worth the shot.

      Next they called up former guitarist     and long time friend, Mike Gruen. The three   of them disscused the music and ideas         behind. Mike joined in. Soon they began       shopping around for the perfect lead          guitarist. After only one sitting with a      talented guitar player, Ken Ackerman, did     they agree that his style of playing brought  something new and unexpected to the music.

      They began the prep work of recording a  few demo tracks to see if they had what it took. So, in the winter of 2003, they took a ride to Off Stage Recording Studios in West Paterson, NJ, and began the recording process. After 18 hours, in the studio they had accomplished something worth showing.
Granted they had only recorded a few fast demo tracks, but the outlook for the future was good.

Personal issues began to arise and caused Danny to step down and Rich Gruen, formerly of "Cryptic Wolfves", "Alter", "Scared for Life", to join in. Rich brought to the table a certain flare that was missing. With Rich we were able to complete almost all 7 songs and prepare to record a full album.  But as time went by, Rich?s teaching career had started taking off and Rich had to step down. Replacing Rich was no easy task. So we had to set our marker pretty high. Dave, Long time friend and kick ass drummer offered up his skill to the mix.
