The purpose of the Owen J. Roberts Band & Color Guard is to instruct students in the fine art of music performance, precision marching technique, musicality and team work.
The Owen J. Roberts Band & Color Guard is a member of the COB (Cavalcade of Bands) and is comprised of some 110 students, approximately 80 musicians and 30 color guard. The Band and Guard compete as a marching unit during the fall season, entering several field show competitions throughout Pennsylvania. The marching season culminates with the COB Championships, usually held in late November. The Owen J. Roberts High School Band & Color Guard are the 2004 Yankee "A" Champions

At the conclusion of marching season, the focus shifts to the numerous smaller ensembles within our band & color guard organization
The Wildcats scored a "Outstanding" rating at the Boyertown Cavalcade of Bands on Saturday night. High Honors for the uniform inspection were awared to the band. The drum line won the High Drum line award and Color Guard continued its winning ways by winning the High Color Guard award.
Bass Number 4 Eric Miller recieved 14 stitiches, 7 stitiches inside his knee and 7 outside to close a wound recieved in a mishap Saturday before going to the Boyertown cavalcade. Eric not seeing that another set of drums were placed on the ground fell over them and cut his leg on the quad harness. Upon returning from the hospital Eric warmed up with the drum line and went on to perform his field show.
