Why do I believe in a secular college education??
The Great Commission tells us to go out and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I fully support the desicion of young men who are called to ministry, and are called to go to Bible College. As for the rest of us, we are called to be front-line troops. That means that we need to be the best we can be, and to enter and excel within the professions God has for us. In addition, we are to stand in a lost and dying world in order to witness to the sick, as Jesus said. State schools are generally less expensive than private schools, which makes you a better steward of you and your parents money. Many are also better for your resume. For example, Ohio State is much more world renowned than say Marquette University, where I studied my freshman year. With this in mind Ranger, get your grades up, and apply to a good university. You may have the opportunity to minister in an outpost while in college. I have been Sr. Commander while in school, and on sectional staff. There are no excuses for laggards. Win the lost for Christ !!!!!!!!!

Why?
I believe that to serve others is a high calling. It is said that no man hath greater love than to lay his life down for a friend. I served in both the Navy and Army. My family has a history of serving, and sometimes dying for the nation. The military is a great harvest field for your witness. It is a place where you can develop great leadership skills, earn money for college, and travel. I finished at Ohio State owing no money -> $ 0.000. This enabled me to earn my way, not burden my parents, and be a good citizen and strengthen my personal relationship with Jesus. AWESOME !!!!!
