--- Ohioville Boro has purchased a new First Response vehicle for the department. The Boro has supported the medical first response service being provided by department members as a great benefit to the community. We've had two confirmed saves using our AED and countless responses that help in many other ways. We enjoy hearing from residents we help out, but this program could not be done without the countless hours from our members and the great support from our Boro officials. Please stop in or write to our boro officials to let them know you appreciate the Medical First Response program the support.
-- On Monday June 24th 2002 we started our First Responder(QRS) service which will assist EMS crews on calls where there may be extended response times. This service will be used to aide the EMS crews. Ambulance service to the borough(s) will still be provided by the EMS services that porvide them currently. If anyone is interested in participating in these services please stop by the station and see Chief Clarence Dawson.
-- Fire Prevention reminder -- Please change you smoke detector batteries and preplan your escape routes. If you need help with obtaining a smoke detector or want more details please contact us. If you do not live in Ohioville or Glassgow contact your local fire department who I'm sure will also help you with your needs.
