Ticket prices are set at $25.00 and all net proceeds from the expected sell out crowd of 950 will go directly to a research group yet to be named by They Will Surf Again and Life Rolls On. They Will Surf Again's and Alzheimer's public service concert effort will support the organizations whose work is dedicated to funding aggressive research and offering hope for a cure for spinal cord injuries (SCI) and diseases like Parkinson's.

They Will Surf Again's Director, Richard Yelland first contacted The Offspring in March 2001 through the band's guitarist Noodles. "A relative of the band who suffers from Parkinson's Disease got me in touch with Noodles. He really sparked the band's interest in our cause." Said Yelland. "We are grateful to The Offspring for their generous offer to perform this benefit concert and help advance our mission: funding research that promises major breakthroughs in the very near future," Yelland added.

They Will Surf Again was founded in the summer of 2000 by Yelland and two pro surfers, Seth Elmer and James Pribram. The organization's annual fundraising surf tours were inspired by a friend and father of two, Bob Dancey, who broke his neck surfing in Oceanside in March of 2000 and is now a quadriplegic.

The Offspring's Noodles, a passionate surfer, first learned of They Will Surf Again's efforts prior to being contacted by TWSA's Yelland. "I followed They Will Surf Again in the surf magazines. Being an avid surfer, I was eager to be involved with their work," said Noodles. "At the end of the show, we will be writing a check directly to a research organization of our choice. We are looking at SCI Research Advancement - a group currently working on a treatment that could offer a cure for SCI within just a few years. Christopher Reeve Paralysis Association is also being considered as a potential recipient of the funds," said TWSA Director, Yelland.

The Offspring benefit concert is also proud to be associated with Life Rolls On, the non-profit group founded by former surf star and quadriplegic, Jesse Billauer. The Second Annual They Will Surf Again/Life Rolls On Expression Session will occur on the Sunday following the concert, August 4th at Noon, during the Philips Fusion US Open of Surfing at Huntington Pier. The world's top surfers will surf to raise funds for They Will Surf Again and Life Rolls On. Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Keith and Dan Malloy, Tim Curran, TWSA founder James Pribram, among others, are set to appear (appearances subject to change). The event will also feature the surfing of Jesse Billauer. The quadriplegic will ride the surf at Huntington on his custom surfboard in what promises to be an inspirational and emotional performance.
