MAIL FROM MEL
Hello, fans. It is a very sad time in the world when you hear about devastating, horrific disasters such as the Tsunami earthquakes that have taken the lives of so many people in Asia. The suffering there is unimaginable and I can't begin to express how much my heart goes out to anyone who has been affected by this tragedy. I ask, at this time, that you all continue to pray and hope for the best to come out of such a sad and incredibly depressing situation. I also ask that anyone who can help (financially or physically) will do so -- from the heart. Hug your mothers, your fathers, your sisters and your brothers, and tell them you love them. Not just in times of despair, but at ALL times, we need to realize just how important those people are in our lives and how much we appreciate seeing their beautiful faces light up our lives. Life is precious, so don't ever take it for granted. My prayers are with all of you. <3 Melissa

Melissa spoke with Loaded magazine in their February issue about how sex appeal plays a big part in the marketing of music. "It's definitely a plus to be sexy in the music industry, but I don't think you have to be sexy in order to sell records," Melissa said. "Sex does sell, but if you solely base your career on how you look and what you're not wearing, there's really no substance to look back on ten years down the line. It's just you, naked, with nothing else to say. Isn't that kind of boring? I love feeling sexy and I love letting that side of me show through in my music and in my videos, but it's just one side of me.
