| What exactly is 2040 you're asking? When my brother coined the term "fantasy-reality", that pretty much summed it up for me. But for you people I'm going to have to be a little bit more descriptive. 2040 was created one mild summer night in the late 90's when I was laying in a field with my buddy in High Park, listening to a boom-box and smoking a J. While tripping-out on the park, the stars, and the airplanes we both said it feels like we're in... "2040". And so it began. Trip after trip the 2040 Universe expanded and began including such things as: hovering vehicles, interesting technologies, street gangs, conspiracies/theories, detective missions, and alter egos. A true mind-fuck inspired by seeing BLADE RUNNER and AKIRA too many times while burning-out on those unaccountable New Years mornings when we were younger lads. Basically (how do I put this without sounding like I'm insane? Too late for that you say?) it's a place where my mind went and my body followed as a result of either inhaling excessive amonts of marijuana, ingesting the right kind of mushrooms, or consuming heavy amounts of alcohol; or when combining all three. The best place to trip: anywhere and everywhere, so long as you have the right frame of mind. |
