Dec. 30, 1829. Aug. Ct., 1831. Bk. F, p 129.
Having sometime ago given away all my property but a remnant, to my chil., I
now dispose of said remnant as follows: Sons: Exr: SPIER, negro boy,
SPIER to keep my old Negro man, Bristow and maintain him as long as he
lives; dau: ELEANOR BENNET’S heirs, negro girl; dau: NANCY BENNETT,
of Tennessee; Wit: JOHN W. CRISP.
CRISP, JESSE
Sept. 8, 1836. Feb. Ct., 1837. Wife: ELIZA, life or widowhood, all my
lands and plantations, 2 negroes, gray mare, 1 mule, 2 sows, cow and calf,
household and kitchen furniture. My chil: NANCY ANN, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
and ELENDER CRISP, my negro woman TABITHA Junior, and her two chil.
Newbern and Wilson, and property I have lent to my wife, at her decease;
Exr: Friends, BENJAMIN WHITFIELD, JOHN MOORING. Wit: BENONI M.

June 10, 1829. Nov. Ct., 1829. Wife: (unnamed), 2 negroes to wait
on her, reversion to son JESSE provided he care for negroes and not sell to
pay his indebtedness. JESSE & SAMUEL to take care of mother; all land to
be divided between JESSE & SAMUEL and they to have apple mill and grist
mill. The following children already given their part of estate by deeds of gift
made 1822: WM. FRANCIS, THOMAS, WHITLEY, REDDEN, MARY ODOM
of Tennysee; SARAH WHITLEY, of Tenn; ELIZABETH WHITEHERST,
FANNY NELSON, LYDA WEATHERBY, PATSY NELSON. Exr: Sons-in-law:
JONAS NELSON, KINCHEN NELSON. Wit: SPIER CRISP, JOHN W. CRISP.

and child my wife may have within 9 mo of my death. Exr: JONAS NELSON,
FREDERICK MAYO. Wit: BENJAMIN WHITFIELD, JESSE CRISP.
