E-mail the Camp Leader
The camp runs every summer during the last few days of July and the first few days of August.  The camp has been running for over 70 years and has always been run by volunteers.  Boys from all over the UK travel to Farnham in Surrey for the week where they enjoy the camping, swimming, cooking, games, archery, aerial runway and various activities in the woods.

The camp site is called Woodlarks and is set in acres of beautiful wooded hills which make a challenging setting for those who use wheelchairs.  Each week over the summer, a different group of campers make use of the site.
The camp leader is Martyn Allen who has been a regular volunteer at the site for over 39 years.  For much of his working life he has worked for Scope in Ipswich, running a day service for adults with disabilities.  He now works as a teacher of mathematics.

Bob Newport MBE For Services to Young People
We are all delighted that the Queen honored Bob with an MBE in 2006 for his work with young people.  He has of course been involved with Adventurers Camp for some time (48 years without missing a camp!) but he has also been a Scout Leader in his own town.  We can't think of a more deserving person.   Oggy Oggy Oggy Bob!
