Council 82 filed the pettion with PERB and fought to get L/E their own bargaining unit.
NYSCOPBA opposed it and is still opposing it.

The only thing that changed was the name of the union. NYSCOPBA is still all the same members of the old Council 82. It is still dominated by State corrections. It is still run by State Correction officers, President, V.
