Cat List - Page 28

Below is our complete cat list, both available and unavailable. AVAILABLE Cats are marked with an "ADOPTME!" flag next to their name. We list both cats who are placed as well as those still seeking homes as part of our life-long commitment to each of our animals.

Nyla NYC280

Nyla is a sweet girl with a disproportionately loud yowl for her size, which she normally only uses it at meal-times. She is somewhat shy, and prefers you to come to her for attention, but she will purr and push against your hand when you pet her! This poor girl panics when you pick her up, but on her own feet she is very affectionate! Nyla is good with other cats as well.

Balmik NYC281

Balmik is a handsome bluepoint applehead Siamese who was trapped when he was living outside. This feral fellow is still shy about being handled, although he will tolerate gentle petting when you approach him slowly.

Candy NYC282

Candy's owner died, and her owner's husband put her in the garage last winter instead of taking her to the pound. We think standing on cold concrete caused this sweet lapcat to develop stiff ankles with an odd gait, but the glucosamine supplements we have been giving her seem to have helped reduce that effect. This sweet girl loves to be held, brushed, settled on your lap, fed, and she comes to her name! Clever Candy has also recently become playful, enjoying swatting a fleece "shoelace" cat treaser, as well as more animated in general. Candy is very non-demanding, accepting, and laid-back, which makes her seem more Tonkinese than Siamese!

Sagwa NYC283

Sagwa was turned into the Staten Island pound with an absessed paw, but we're happy to report he has healed perfectly! This fellow is a scaredy-cat, and shies away from humans, although once he's settled on your lap, he's very pettable!!

Tarot NYC284

Hey, I'm Tarot, and I saw in my cards that I had to seek out the local cat trapper when my family put me outside at our Bronx housing project. There I was, sitting pretty, waiting patiently for her when she arrived. She scooped me into her arms and brought me to Siamese Rescue! I'm a very friendly fellow with a fondness for all kinds of chips: potato, corn, and cheetos. Nonetheless, the folks here at Siamese Rescue insist that I eat cat food instead, for some reason I can't understand. My eyes are slightly crossed, however, that doesn't interfere with my jumping to lofty perches, and my meezer yowl is respectably loud but used judiciously. I'm not fond of canines, although I will tolerate a well-behaved one if you insist. I'm very affectionate -- I'll flirt with you with my eyes and turn to let you scratch just the RIGHT spot. And I have great poise and confidence, so I'll greet all your guests at the door! And I'm happily doing so at my new home on the West Side!

Sienne NYC285

Sienne is an amazing old Sealpoint Siamese! Despite being nearly blind and abandoned outside, he managed to find a little girl's plastic playhouse for refuge. Fortunately, the girl's kind dad took pity on Sienne, fed him, and helped to get him to us. This handsome senior is an easy keeper: he just wants a soft towel to lie on and some lap time from you!! He has a very loud yowl, but he rarely exercises it, and doesn't mind other cats about as long as they don't pounce on him!!

Lena NYC286

Hello, I'm the lovely and irrepressable Lena! I had a horrific eye infection as a tiny kitten which required surgical removal of one eye and the other is so scarred that I have little vision, but you would never know it to watch me explore and play! I am a friendly furball of fun, happily pouncing on any nearby kitty to start a game, and boldy going where I've never before ventured! I am a beautiful lilac snowshoe Siamese girl, with ghost stripes, and I just bet my meezer smarts help compensate for whatever I don't see!!

Ingrid NYC287

Ingrid is a lovely and affectionate bluepoint siamese girl who was kept the dark cellar below a Manhattan deli to catch mice. Luckily, a kind patron learned of her existence and prevailed upon the proprietor to release this cat to rescue, so Ingrid could enjoy the company of people and basking in sunny windows! The pretty baby was chatty when she arrived, but has begun using "the silent meow" as her trademark communication. Ingrid enjoys attention but too much can cause her over-stimulation, so she needs a person who knows when to stop!

Claude NYC288

Claude is a handsome lynx snowshoe boy who is very confident in showing affection to strangers and venturing into new places! He was rescued off the streets of Brooklyn, and we'd like to give him a safer environment to explore! Claude is pleasant to other cats after proper introductions and seems tolerant of canines as well. He has a definite yowl which he uses when he is greeting other cats or making a request of you.

Carly NYC289

I'm Carly, and I cannot imagine what my former owner was thinking when he left me and my chihuahua buddy in the apartment that he rented out to strangers! Needless to say, these folks, while kind enough, had not planned on us two critters as extra room-mates, nor were they interested in petsitting in addition to paying rent. So, my doggie buddy went to Chihuahua rescue and here I'm am! I'm a lovely declawed sealpoint Tonkinese girl, which the friendly Siamese folk say is close enough for them to find a home for my cuddly, snuggly, talkative self! I'm nervous around other cats, but canines are ok by me, although my first love is people of any variety! I'll climb right onto your chest when you lay down, or snuggle in your arms - I'm not particular as long as I have your attention!
