Leonie...the 70's stole her sunglasses.
um...who's Leonie?
she says run run run run. as fast as you can run as you can walk. she says run run run as fast as you can run and don't look back
That is Leonie.  Amongst other things, Leonie likes The Strokes.  And don't worry, she does have a face, but she likes being arty and mysterious and annoying by cropping it off.

Anyway, one week in December '01, Leonie was finished with school, out of work and close to taping vegatables to her head and going insane from boredom and being a bum.  But, during that week she also read this Juice article on The Strokes she'd forgotten about.  She'd bought they're album a few month's previous and probably hadn't taken it out of her cd player, so lucky for her, she was listening to a lot of The Strokes, otherwise, she might have gone completely insane.  So reading all these articles and going to all these strokes sites and scratching the 6 monthly homepage itch* she made a site.  Mainly coz she wanted her friends to like the strokes god dammit and she needed a creative vent for a stroke-overload.  Thus New York City Strokes was born.

Since then, work started giving her hours again (thats both good and bad) and she realissed people actually came to her site...that scared her shitless and rather than normally running screaming into the night, she pulled this sites love-heart socks up and let it roll with all that is rock about the Strokes.

Leonie does have other interests tho...she likes anything arty and creative and different be it music or art or movies or clothes, if its doing something different and good and makes her laugh, she'll probably make a website out of it.

Some people call her "old school 70's chick" (for some reason whatever she wears it always looks old) some people call her weird but laid back and others call her lazy and ice-cream-loving...yeah she's all those things.  She's had an odd obsession with New York ever since she saw "The Muppets take Manhattan" as a kid and loves op shops and ugh boots.  She also thinks "Heroin" by the Velvet Underground is the most romantically written song ever and that Elijah Wood was the kid in the Mighty Ducks (how wrong she was).

She likes to speak in 1st person too, usually.  Not today however.

Intrigued? bored? go here for more of that. the
Internet Stole my Sincerity.

* every 6 months or so Leonie gets this weird urge to make a new webpage, usually about nothing imparticluar then disgaurd it...she promises that won't happen this time.
