Maureen Delahunt of The Irish Heritage Club spoke on Irish Gardens. March Meeting March meeting was titled, "Let's Organize." Tina Lindsay of the National Association for Professional Organizers was the speaker. She spoke on organizing photo albums, closets, mail, and basements. February Meeting Soup and Bread Night. Members brought soups, stews, and breads to enjoy. January Meeting The January meeting's program was Tastefully Simple, hosted by Jessalyn Pito. Jess brought some tastety snacks to try. Proceeds went to the club's charity budget. December Meeting The Dutch Auction was the subject of the meeting in December. The theme was Hawaii. Food and decorations we set to the theme of Hawaii and island style. November Meeting Elissa Orio gave a slide presentation of her trip to Italy. October Meeting The October meeting was held on October 21, 2008. Dr. Donald Lannon from Yale New Haven Hospital spoke about breast cancer prevention. Debi Swederski from the Community Executive Cancer Research Network of the American Cancer Society also was present. September Meeting The first meeting of the new fiscal year was Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at 7:30, at St. Andrew's Church Hall, Middletown Avenue, Northford. There was a demonstration on self defense.
