How to play the game ?

First you have to get some dogs, the easiest way to do this, is to adopt some from other kennels.
You may not be able to get a dog of the breed you want the most, but then adopt another breed, and play with that, untill your favorite breed is up for adoption.
The more dogs you have, the more fun the game is, it is not much fun only to have one ore two dogs, but it is possible to play with few dogs too.
Where do you find the dogs that are up for adoption?
The best way to keep informed about what is going on, is to check the message board out regularely.
The message board is where the game is actually beeing played, and where the members get to know each other, and post adds for dogs they are looking for, and for dogs up for adoption.
When you want to breed your dogs, you need to have a breeding permit for both parrents, and you can get that, by showing the dogs in the group club, or in the NCC all breed show.
There are lots of ways to make your dogs, some draw by hand, and then scan the drawings, others make it all on the computer, and others combine the two methods.
If you need help with drawing, post your questions on the board, and someone will answer if they can.
There is a limit for how many dogs can be in a show, but no limit to how many dogs one owner can enter, so it is a good thing to enter in good time, esp. if you have dogs of the popular breeds.
Also a way to get more points for your dogs, is to show in the breeding class, but remember to ask the owners of the other dogs if it is ok to enter their dogs too !

A little about the Nordic Canine Club for cyber dogs (NCC)

When we (refers to Geozine and Junipur, both living in Denmark) started NCC in the beginning of 2002 we had a 14 days deadline where members and new members could get all their dogs - docked, foundations - all - registered.
After that deadline only dogs with NCC registered parents with NCC breeding permits was to be registerable with NCC.

Junipur and I both wanted to avoid a load of foundation dogs in NCC and decided to put a limit for those in each breed which became 5 of each gender - it can be extended if needed, though.

By doing this we hoped to put more focus on the dogs already exsisting and we also wanted to put more focus on the showing part instead of the breeding part.

And we had a wish to do things more the way they are in our real life - in Skandinavia.
We thought it could be fun to pretend that it all was for real and to be really serious about it - just for the fun.

In our real life kennel clubs in Skandivia dogs are not bred away in countless numbers. The parents are carefully picked out, showed and then bred.
When we import dogs a lot of check ups and controls - not to mention paperwork - are being done before the imported dog can be registered and showed in our kennel clubs. We decided that dogs from outside NCC was to be regarded as imports.

This is basically what the NCC - Nordic Canine Club for cyber dogs - stands for ^-^
