NCC dog registry
Updated 14/8-03
Litters can
be registered in the NCC if both parrents are NCC registered and
have thier breeding permits, before the litter is born.
Dogs who are adopted from outside the NCC, will be counted as
imports, and will only be registered if their breed is still open
for imports, in wich case they will get an I after their
registration number, to show that they are imported.
Dogs with unrecognized colors/patterns can only be registered in
the NCC if both parrents are registered, and have their breeding
permits. In wich case the dog will be registered with an N after
its reg. number, to show that it is neutralised, and cannot be
breed.
Neutralised dogs can not be shown in NCC shows, but they can
participate in all other events, like obedience, agility etc.
When you register your dogs with the NCC, they will automatically
also be registered with the group club they belong in, and vice
versa.
The registration number will be NCC followed by a two or three
letter breed code, and then a 3 digit number.
This number can be used to enter the dog into NCC shows, and if
you should loose the info on the dog, you can always look it up
by the number!
When the dog is registered you can not change its data.
When the owner of a dog wants it to be registered with the NCC
there are a few rules to follow.
If the owne of the dog is also the breeder, then the dog will get
the owners kennel name, to be the breeder of a dog you must own
the mother of the dog, at the time she gave birth to that dog.
If you are not the breeder of the dog, then the dog will get the
kennel name of the breeder, and if the breeder is unknown, there
will be NO kennel name in the dogs name, don`t try to cheat !
A dog CAN NOT have two kennel names, no matter what........
Up to five dogs of the same gender without parents are allowed to
be registered in each breed.
These are nessecary when a new breed is started and if new
bloodlines are needed in a breed. They are also nessecary if the
exsisting foundations become inactive.
Foundation dogs are not allowed to carry a kennel name. This can
be compared with real life dogs that comes from a breeder without
a kennel.
Explanation of registration numbers:
First is NCC, wich tells that this dog is registerd in the Nordic
Canine Club.
Then there is a 2 or 3 letter breed code, that tells what breed
the dog is.
Then is a 3 digit number, that tells what the dogs number is.
Some dogs will have a letter after the number, here is an
explanation of what they mean:
I=Import
N=Neutralised
S=Born with a stumpy tail
