What is an NOC Assistant??

An NOC Assistant is the person that is committed during the Olympics period
to serve where allocated and when required. An NOC Assistant should have certain
attributes in order to provide best service and to leave a long lasting memory of the
friendliness and courtesy of the Australian people.
Some of these attributes include... be cheerful, pleasant, helpful, positive, assertive,
good team worker, good communicator, responsible, conscientious, co-operative,
patient, and above all, have a sense of humour.

Name :  Jim Couri
Position: NOC Assistant, OMAN
Language other than English: Arabic
Background:  I was born in Ghana, West Africa ( Lebanese parents). I was raised in
Ghana/Lebanon and migrated to Australia in 1970. Married with 3 children (12,16,18),
I'm currently working as a gas plant operator, and have been with the same company for over 25 years.

Background: I was born in Cairo, Egypt. I migrated to Australia in 1969.
Married with 3 daughters (25,27,28). I currently work as a High School teacher,
teaching Food Tech and Hospitality.

Name:  Neam Nassir
Position: NOC Assistant, OMAN
Language other than English: Arabic
Background: I was born and raised in Iraq, I have a BA Degree in English Art-Baghdad University 1984.
I've worked as a Secretary in the Public Relations Dept, Scientific Research Council-Baghdad, where
I became  a Hospitality co-ordinator in most Council Meetings and Conferences.
I migrated to Australia in 1998  and I'm an active swimmer. I also have an interest in music,
and watching sports activities.
