Today's 2nd New Jersey is dedicated to portraying, as accurately as possible, those brave men who enlisted in the Union army when our great nation was threatened with separation. Those men who were willing to put their lives on the line and endure the hardships of war to preserve the unity of what their forefathers created.
The 2nd New Jersey Infantry is a member of the 3rd Battalion of the United States Volunteers. As members of this organization we participate in large re-enactments and receive guidance and training during these events. The staff of the 3rd Battalion U.S.V. are extremely knowledgeable in the tactics of the Civil War, and guide each of their regiments so they function as a single unit on the battlefield.
