Meditation on the Death of a Child

Dearly Beloved Child, I recall the happiness that filled our home and the joys you afforded us during your lifetime.

How I rejoiced in the blessings you brought us! How I delighted in your growth and planned for your future!

Though death has cut short your life, the bond which unites us cannot be severed. Your memory is forever enshrined in my heart.

O merciful Father, endow me with your understanding that Thou, the Giver of life, having entrusted our children to us, knowest what is best when Thou callest them back unto Thee.

In gratitude for the joy which my child brought to me, I pray that I, too, may bring love and joy into the lives of others.

May the soul of my dearly beloved child be bound up in the bond of life together with all the precious souls that are united in Thee, our Creator and Father. Amen.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit Nikki's Memorial Site. My name is Vicki Fisher, I am Nicole's cousin, and the person responsible for the contents and maintenance of this site, under the direction of Nikki's mother, Carol.

Nikki's death was unexpected, to say the least. Nicole died from a lethal overdose of methadone, oxycodone and alprozolam ... enough to kill four people ... she was not a drug addict, she was given the drugs by an acquaintance ... some called the acquaintance "friend", but friends don't give friends letal doses of drugs! Her death is still a shock to all that knew and loved her.

This site is intended to bring awareness to many aspects of drug abuse, with a strong concentration on the justice .... injustice .... that often accompanies circumstances such as that surrounding the death of my cousin. It is intended to bring awareness to the advocacy needed relevant to the level of accountability of those who supply drugs to someone and that act results in the death of a human being.

Many (myself included) do not believe that justice was served relevant to Nicole's death .... you may form your own opinion after reading the articles.

This one's for you, Nik .... I love you .... I'll see ya when I get to Heaven .... be waiting for me!

Love,
Vicki
