Descent from Farquhar, Earl of Ross, to Frances Webb Barclay, who married Field Marshal Sir George Pollock

This pedigree is based on a hand-written document in my possession. There is no indication as to its age or who wrote it. Names in bold indicate line of descent.

Farquhar, Earl of Ross, died near the end of the reign of Alex II, leaving a son:

William, Earl of Ross, who died before the year 1290, leaving a son:

William. Earl of Ross, supporter of John Balliol, married a sister of Robert Bruce and died c. 1324, leaving a son:

  1. Hugh, Earl of Ross. He married Jean, the eldest daughter of Walter, High Steward of Scotland. Hugh was killed at the battle Halidon Hill in 1333.

    1. William. Earl of Ross, Judiciar of Scotland. He died without issue and the title and estate passed to Sir Walter? Leslie, supposedly by fraud.

              • Walter Ross of Shandwick, married Janet Julloch. He later married another 5 times.

                • David Ross of Shandwick, married the daughter of John Clurie of Muleraig

                          2. Hugh Ross of Kerse, m. 1749, Elizabeth Ross, daughter of Alix Ross. Hugh died in London as a Swedish merchant where he had fled to after killing Hugh Ross of Ach-nacloist in a duel of Kerse

                                • Frances Webb Barclay married 06 Aug 1810, George Pollock, the fourth son of David Pollock and Sarah Homeria Parsons,  born in 4 Jun 1786. Lady Frances died in 1849,

                              • Andrew Reid was a brewer in London, m. ? Gildart. He died 184-.

                                • Neville Reid married Eliza Maria Boddam.
