The extensive research into the exhibited works at the New Watercolour Society and the development (on-going !) of this website has been undertaken by Peter Arnold.
After a career in export marketing with multinationals, he ran his own commercial Buckinghamshire-based art gallery for ten years, specialising in English Watercolours and mounting regular exhibitions in the Home Counties and in London. He has written a number of articles for the specialist press over the years bringing lesser known artists such as John Steeple of Birmingham or the Liverpool "School" to a wider audience. From 1990 to 1999 he headed the Watercolours and Drawings department of Phillips Fine Art Auctioneers on New Bond Street, London.
