Laura Ingalls Wilder
Laura Ingalls Wilder was born on February 7, 1867, in the "Big Woods" of Wisconsin.  Her travels included joining the pioneer movement through the states of Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, and the Dakotas.  During her stay in the Dakota Territory she met and married Almanzo Wilder and they had one child, Rose. In 1894, they settled in Missouri and she began writing her famous "Little House" Books. The " Little House Books" were first published in the 1930's and 1940's.  The books are written about Laura's recollections of family life in pioneer times.
