Honors Chorus

Each year the North Carolina Music Educator's Association  auditions thousands of middle school chorus students across the state to participate in a special
Honors Chorus.
This mixed (SATB) chorus of approximately 150 students is chosen to perform a concert of music for the opening of the NCMEA  In-Service Convention.  This year the convention will be held in Winston Salem at the
Benton Convention Center.
The concert will be sung at the prestigious
Stevens Center for the Performing Arts
on Sunday, November 8th.
As a card carrying member of NCMEA, I am eligible to bring students to this audition.
To represent SWRMS, I will be looking for hard working students with exceptional voices, exemplary behavior, and great "COUGAR" competitive attitudes.
We will learn the audition piece, "He Watching Over Israel" by Felix Mendelssohn, on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week in September from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
The audition fee is $15.00 and the audition is October 1st at UNCG.
                                                       Thanks,
                                                       Barbara Strider
